Motor Scooter Accident on Houston Avenue and Goddard Street, in Visalia

May 15, 2015- A motor scooter collision left a woman seriously hurt, in Visalia.  The vehicle accident took place on Friday, at approximately 2:30 PM.

A motor scooter driven by Melissa Lystad, 19, was headed east on Houston Avenue.  A 2003 Ford Focus, driven by Tiffany Noi, 22, was going westbound on the roadway.

The scooter tried to turn left onto Goddard Street, and pulled out right in front of the car.  The vehicles collided, and Lystad was thrown from her scooter and hit the windshield of the Ford.

Lystad suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Tanker Truck Collision, Car Pinned Underneath, in Bakersfield at Panama Lane

On Friday, May 29, 2015, a big rig collision occurred in Bakersfield.  The Kern County tanker truck accident happened during the morning hours, trapping an automobile underneath.

It is reported that the semi truck was pulling out onto Panama Lane at the same time as a woman driving a silver Ford down the roadway.  The two vehicle collided and the female driver got trapped in her car underneath the tanker truck.

The Ford was pinned until emergency crews could free the driver.  She sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Kern County Head-on Car Accident on Highway 178, in Kern River Canyon

May 27, 2015- A head-on crash left three hurt in Kern County, on Wednesday.  The vehicle collision occurred northeast of Bakersfield, on Highway 178, at about 4:17 PM.

The car accident which happened in the Kern River Canyon area, took place when Brian Duke was driving west on the highway.  The vehicle left the westbound lane and veered into oncoming traffic.  The automobile crashed head-on into a pickup truck that was eastbound.

Duke, and two occupants in the pickup; William Diaz, 69, and Linda Diaz, 72, all suffered serious injuries.  They were taken to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield for treatment.

Victim Identified in Head-on Vehicle Collision Near Lemoore, on Highway 41

An update to the head-on car accident that took place in Lemoore, on Tuesday, May 26, 2015.  The victim in the vehicle collision that happened on Highway 41, at around 11:30 AM, has been identified as Kevin Bruce Watkins, of Kingsburg.

Kevin Watkins, 31, was driving a 1995 Honda Civic, southbound on Highway 41, just south of Lemoore.  The Honda swerved into the northbound lane and smashed head-on into a Dodge pickup truck.

A 2011 Isuzu van, driven by Raymond Treubel, 28, was also traveling north when the Honda came into the lane.  Treubel swerved out of the way to avoid the crash, but then lost control, ran off the road, and struck a tree.

Watkins was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.  The occupants in the Dodge truck; Robert, and Idalia Perez, of Shaver Lake, suffered major injuries.  They were taken by helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Treubel did not require medical treatment.

Semi Truck Collision on Avenue 208 And Road 204, in Tulare County

On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, a Strathmore man was hurt in a car accident, that occurred in Tulare County.  The big rig collision happened in Porterville, at about 2:30 PM.

A 1999 Chevy, driven by Raymundo E. Garcia, 27 years old, was southbound on Road 204, near Avenue 208.  The Chevrolet ran a stop sign at the intersection, and crashed into a 1990 Peterbilt semi truck, driven by Gelasio Gomez, 49, of Porterville, was traveling west on Avenue 208.  It is reported that the semi was driving at about 50 mph when the vehicles collided.

Garcia suffered injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia, for treatment.

Rollover Big Rig Accident on Interstate 5, in Kern County

Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield Collision Attorney John L. Rozier has the following accident report; On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, a semi truck collision occurred on the I-5 freeway.  The Kern County big rig accident happened near the Tejon Outlets, at approximately 7:30 PM.

The tractor-trailer was traveling in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5, when for an unexplained reason, it overturned.  The semi blocked two of the lanes of traffic, near the Laval Road exit.

Multiple Vehicle Collision on Highway 41, near Coarsegold

May 27, 2015- A four-vehicle accident happened on Highway 41, in Madera County.  The multi-car crash occurred on Wednesday, near Coarsegold, at around 7:40 AM.

The multiple automobile collision took place on northbound Hwy 41, near the Rocky Cut area.  Officers reported that there were injuries to those involved in the incident.  But the severity of the injuries, and how many victims were hurt are not known at this time.

The wreck closed the highway in both directions for about 2 hours.

Drunk Driving Auto Accident on Highway 99, Kills One, in Tulare County

An update to the drunk driving car accident that took place on Highway 99, in Tulare County.  The victim in the automobile collision that occurred near Visalia, on Sunday, May 24, 2015, has been identified.

Jennie/Janie Luna was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo, with passenger Angelique Rivas, 37, of Exeter.  The Chevy was headed south on the Highway 99 freeway, at an unknown rate of speed, at about 1 in the morning.

The car drifted off the highway, and up a dirt & grass embankment.  It then rolled over and crashed into the concrete wall of the over-crossing of Avenue 280.

Rivas suffered from blunt force trauma and died at the scene of the crash.  Luna suffered major injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.

The California Highway Patrol reported that Luna was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision.  Upon being discharged from the hospital, Luna will be booked into jail.

Kern County Interstate 5 Pickup Truck Collision, near Taft Highway

On Monday, May 25, 2015, a pickup truck accident occurred in Kern County.  The vehicle collision hurt two people, on Interstate 5, in the afternoon hours.

A white Ford Ranger was traveling southbound on the I-5 freeway, near Taft Highway.  The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, for an unknown reason, and the truck overturned multiple times.  The Ford finally came to rest on the side of the highway.

The two occupants in the pickup suffered moderate injuries, and were taken by ambulance to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield.

Head-on Car Accident on Highway 41, in Lemoore, Kills One

May 26, 2015- A head-on collision ends in fatality for a Kingsburg man, on Highway 41, on Tuesday.  The automobile accident took place in Lemoore, at approximately 11:30 AM.

A 1995 Honda Civic, driven by a 31 year old Kingsburg man, was driving south on Highway 41, approaching Jersey Avenue.  The driver reportedly crossed into the northbound lane of the highway, and smashed head-on into a 1997 Dodge pickup truck.

Raymond Treubel, 28, who was going north in a 2011 Isuzu van, attempted to avoid the initial crash.  The van swerved out of the way, but then veered off the roadway and hit a tree.

The Honda's driver died at the scene of the accident.

An elderly Shaver Lake couple; Robert, and Idalia Perez, both 65, were the occupants in the truck.  They were seriously injured and were both airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Treubel did not seek medical attention.

Highway 99 DUI Car Collision Near Visalia, Ends in Fatality

Visalia Wrongful Death Lawyer John Rozier has the following car accident report; On Sunday, May 24, 2015, a suspected drunk driving collision ended in fatality, in Tulare County.  The automobile accident happened on Highway 99, near Visalia, at about 1:00 AM.

A 2008 Chevy Aveo, driven by Janie Luna, 38, was traveling southbound on the Highway 99 freeway.  The vehicle veered off the roadway, onto the right shoulder, and up a grass embankment.  The Chevrolet then overturned onto its side and smashed into the concrete over-crossing of Avenue 280.

Luna was able to get out of her vehicle, but her passenger was trapped inside until emergency personnel got to the scene.  The passenger was pronounced dead after paramedics arrived.

Luna suffered injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.  She was arrested for driving while under the influence, but is recovering at the hospital.

DUI Car Crash on Highway 168 in Clovis, One in Serious Condition

May 21, 2015- A DUI car accident took place in Fresno County, on Thursday.  The rollover vehicle collision occurred on Highway 168, in north Clovis.

Bikramjit Singh, 23, was driving his 2008 Ford Mustang at a high rate of speed, on Highway 168.  The Mustang veered off the right side roadway, near Thompson Avenue, which caused Singh to over-correct.  The Ford swerved across both lanes of the highway and overturned.

A passenger in the automobile suffered major injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  Singh received moderate injuries and was also taken to Community Regional hospital.

He was later arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Automobile Collision at North E Street and Grand Avenue, in Porterville

On Friday, May 22, 2015, a car collision leaves one woman injured in Tulare County.  The automobile accident happened in Porterville, at about 12:10 PM.

A young male driver, of a black Audi, was headed east on Grand Avenue.  Another vehicle, a black Honda, driven by a female driver, was on North E Street, where the road curves into Grand Ave., across the street from Zalud Park.

For an unknown reason, the Audi smashed into the Honda right at the curve of the roadway, in the northbound lane on E Street.  The collision pushed the woman's auto into a parked pickup truck, which moved the truck five feet from its original position.

Both cars received extensive damage.

The Honda driver suffered injuries and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Kern County Multiple Vehicle Accident on Highway 58, in Bakersfield

San Joaquin Valley Automobile Collision Lawyer John Rozier has the subsequent update; On Thursday, May 14, 2015, a multi-vehicle crash, that involved a gas tanker, happened in Kern County.  The fuel truck accident took place on Highway 58, in Bakersfield, at about 4:46 PM.

The incident occurred on westbound Highway 58, near where the freeway merges onto northbound Highway 99.  Three to six cars were involved in the accident, which included at gasoline tanker, a Hyundai Sonata, and a Toyota Corolla.

Six people in the collision were hurt.  Their injuries ranged from minor to moderate.  They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Wet roads were in part to blame for the wreck.

Pedestrian Killed in Pickup Truck Accident on Highway 65, in Porterville

On Thursday, May 21, 2015, a pedestrian was hit and killed after a truck collision on Highway 65.  The Tulare County vehicle accident happened in Porterville, at around 9:45 PM.

The 45 year old woman was walking onto Highway 65, north of Olive Avenue.  A Toyota Tacoma, driven by Kenneth Stroub, 40 years old, was headed south on the highway, when the woman was struck.

The pedestrian died at the scene of the incident.

Rain Causes Big Rig Accident on Highway 99, in Bakersfield

May 22,2015- A big rig accident occurred in Kern County, on Friday morning.  The semi truck collision happened in Bakersfield, on Highway 99 interchange.  Rain was reported to have played a factor in the crash.

The big rig driver lost control of his vehicle on the southbound Highway 99 interchange to eastbound Highway 58.  The tractor-trailer crashed into the side of the overpass, and part of the vehicle was hanging off the edge.  Some of the concrete was reported to have knocked off onto the freeway below.


The driver was not seriously injured.  Authorities said this accident was one of many, because of the wet roads.

Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Sunset Boulevard, Caused by Drunk Driver, near Arvin

Kern, Fresno, and Tulare County Wrongful Death Attorney John Rozier has the following update; On Wednesday, May 6, 2015, a motorcyclist was killed in a vehicle accident.  The pickup truck collision occurred near Arvin, at 6:10 PM.

The motorcyclist has been identified as Danny Darnell Cottengim, 57, of Bakersfield.  Cottengim was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Sunset Boulevard, when he was struck by a white pickup truck, near Towerline Road.

Angel Jimenez, the driver of the truck had been traveling west on Sunset, when he turned suddenly in front of the biker, and the two vehicles collided.  Cottengim was thrown from the bike and died at the scene.

Jimenez who was driving drunk at the time of the crash, was arrested.  He and his wife were uninjured.

Power Outage for Southeast Fresno, Caused by Automobile Crash

May 21, 2015- An automobile collision causes blackout for over 400 homes in southeast Fresno.  The car accident occurred on Thursday, at around 3:30 AM.

The police have reported that a vehicle smashed into a power pole on Fresno Street, at Webster Street.  The crash knocked the pole and power lines down to the middle of roadway.

Power was lost to the area along Fresno Street, from Clay to Olive Avenues.

Bicyclist Killed in Vehicle Collision, near Pixley, on Road 128

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following collision report; On Friday, May 15, 2015, an Earlimart man was killed in a collision, south of Pixley.  The bicycle accident happened on Road 128, at approximately 8:20 AM.

The 68 year old bicyclist was riding northbound on Road 128, south of Avenue 84.  At the same time Norma V. Valladares, 40, was driving her 2008 Infinity G35 north on the same roadway.

As the driver started to pass the bike rider, the man turned left right into the right side of the automobile.  The collision threw the Earlimart man from his bicycle and onto the street.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers reported that Valladares was traveling at 35 miles per hour, and the biker was not wearing a helmet.

The car crash is under investigation.

Pickup Truck and Automobile Collide near Terra Bella, at Road 224 and Avenue 88

May 6, 2015- A vehicle accident near Terra Bella injured two people, on Wednesday morning.  The Tulare County pickup truck collision happened at Avenue 88 and Road 224, south of Porterville.

A Terra Bella man, 64 years old, was driving a Honda Civic westbound on Avenue 88.  The driver came to a stop at the posted stop sign, and then drove the car into the intersection at Road 224.

The Honda was hit by a Ford F-250 pickup that was driven by a 36 year old man.  The Ford truck had been traveling northbound on Road 224 at the time of the crash.  The impact caused the pickup to drive into a dirt field and overturn.

A Porterville man, 22, who was a passenger in the Ford, was thrown from the vehicle.

The two victims in the F-250 truck suffered moderate injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.  The Honda Civic driver, and his two passenger were uninjured in collision.

Double Big Rig Collision on Highway 99 at Buhach Road, in Atwater

On Wednesday, May 20, 2015, a double semi truck collision took place in Merced County, north of Fresno.  The big rig accident occurred on Highway 99 in Atwater, at around 7:30 AM.

The CHP reported that the crash happened on southbound Highway 99, at Buhach Road.  The collision of the two tractor-trailers sent a truck from the northbound freeway across the concrete center divider and into the south lanes.  The big rig then overturned and spilled grain all over the highway.

Three-Car Collision Ends in Hit and Run, in Visalia, on Divisadero Street

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident update; On Friday, May 8, 2015, three cars were involved in a vehicle collision in Visalia.  The multi-vehicle crash happened at about 4:05 PM, on Divisadero Street and Connelly Avenue.

Oliver Jackson, 24 years old, was driving a Mitsubishi automobile east on Connelly Avenue.  Jackson ran a stop sign at the intersection of Divisadero and was hit by a silver Mustang that was southbound on the roadway.

After the initial impact of the two vehicles, the Mustang then crashed into a parked Toyota Tacoma.  It rolled over and finally came to a stop on its roof.

The driver of the Mitsubishi ran away from the scene on foot, and was found nearby at his home.  He was arrested for hit-and-run.

The Mustang's occupants; a family of three, that included a 2/3 year old child, were injured.  The two passengers were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment.

Jackson was unharmed.

Head-on Car Accident with Trash Truck, Kills One, on Golden Hills Boulevard, in Kern County

Visalia, Bakersfield, Fresno Vehicle Accident Attorney John L. Rozier has the following accident report;  A man was killed in Kern County, after a head-on collision with a trash truck, on Tuesday, May 19, 2015.  The vehicle crash took place in Tehachapi, at about 6:30 AM.

The driver, James Thomas Doss, 50 years old, was traveling in a Chevrolet Cruz compact car westbound on Golden Hills Boulevard, approaching Brook Drive.    The car is reported to have been traveling at 50 miles per hour, when it crossed into oncoming traffic.

The automobile crashed head-on into a Benz Sanitation trash truck, driven by Jorge Garcia, traveling east at 40 mph.

Doss died at the scene of the incident.  Garcia suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Victim Identified in Fatal Car Crash North of Pixley, at Wright Avenue and Elm Street

An update to the fatal automobile accident that occurred on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in Tulare County, at 11:50 AM.  The Earlimart man that was killed has been identified in the two-vehicle crash, that happened just north of Pixley.

Robert Alonzo was the victim in the car collision, which took place at Wright Avenue and Elm Street, as a result of a missing stop sign.  Alonzo had been traveling west in a 2001 Chevy Malibu, on Wright Avenue, approaching Elm Street.

At the intersection the Chevrolet failed to stop and drove into the path of a 2011 GMC Sierra pickup truck.  The truck, which was driven by Juan Lopez of Pixley, was headed northbound on Elm St. at the time of the collision.  The pickup smashed into the driver's side of the Malibu and fatally injured Alonzo.

Alonzo was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.  Lopez sustained minor injuries.

Authorities reported that the stop sign that was supposed to be on Wright Avenue was missing.  Witnesses said that the sign had been knocked down prior to this accident, and someone had taken it away.

Car Collision at Noble Avenue and Giddings Street, in Visalia

May 17, 2015- A two-car crash left four people hurt, in Visalia, on Sunday.  The Tulare County vehicle accident happened at approximately 4:00 PM, at Noble Avenue.

A Honda Civic, driven by Daniel Hanson, 24 year old, was headed eastbound on Noble Avenue.  The Honda collided with a Volvo, driven by Matthew Maxson, 30 years old, at Giddings Street.

Hanson, and a 15 year old boy in the car, suffered major injuries.  The teenager was reported to have sustained serious head trauma.  Hanson's other passenger, Edward Montemayor, 39, received moderate injuries.

Maxson also suffered serious injuries to his upper body and head.  All the victims were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, for treatment.  The police reported that they are in stable condition.

Pedestrian Accident on Ben Maddox Way, in Visalia

On Sunday, May 17, 2015, a man was critically injured after being hit by a car, in Tulare County.  The pedestrian accident happened in Visalia, at approximately 9 PM.

Mauricio Gomez Orrostieta, 48, was walking across Ben Maddox Way, south of Houston Avenue.  It is reported that he was not in a crosswalk at the time.  A 1994 Honda Civic, driven by Randi Turner, 28, was traveling on Ben Maddox when his vehicle struck Orrostieta.

The pedestrian suffered major injuries, and was taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.

Rollover Auto Crash Ends in Fatality for Little Boy on Highway 58, in Kern County

Central California Car Accident Attorney John L. Rozier has the following report; On Monday, May 11, 2015, a child was killed in an automobile collision in Kern County.  The vehicle accident occurred on Highway 58, near Caliente.

Maureen Deanda, 35, was driving westbound on Highway 58, with a 13 year old girl, and Deanda's 7 year old son; Noah Jaramillo.  The Bakersfield woman was reported to have been traveling at a high rate of speed, when she attempted to pass a Jeep.

The car hit the front of the Jeep, and rolled multiple times over the side of a cliff.  The little boy was ejected from the vehicle.

Jaramillo was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.  Deanda and her daughter suffered serious injuries and were taken to Kern Medical Center for treatment.

The Jeep's occupants, who were from Nevada, were not injured.

Highway 223 Semi Truck Accident Kills One, in Bakersfield

May 18, 2015- A big rig accident ends in fatality for a Bakersfield woman.  The Kern County semi truck collision took place on Highway 223, west of Arvin, on Monday morning.

Blanca Guadalupe Lopez Lomeli, 51 years old, was traveling southbound, in a white, Toyota Camry, on South Edison Road.  It is reported that she failed to stop completely at the posted stop sign, before driving into the intersection at Highway 223.

The Toyota drove directly into the path of a tractor-trailer, that was going 55 miles per hour on the highway, and carrying 79,780 lbs. of cement powder, on Bear Mountain Boulevard.

Lomeli died at the scene of the crash.  The semi truck driver was not hurt.

Kern County Jeep Collision Ends in Fatality on Highway 58, near Keene

Kern County Wrongful Death and Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following collision report; On Monday, May 11, 2015, a vehicle accident ended in fatality, near Keene.  The SUV crash occurred on Highway 58, at approximately 2 PM.

The collision happened on the westbound freeway, near Bealville Road, 30 miles east of Bakersfield.  The crash was between a Toyota SUV, and a blue Jeep Cherokee.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.

The California Highway Patrol have the accident under investigation.

Fatal Fresno County Truck Collision at South and Chestnut Avenues

An update to the car collision that took place on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, in Fresno County at about 6:00 AM.  The two victims that were killed in the automobile accident, which happened near Fowler, have been identified.

Domingo Cruz, 50 years old, was the driver of a white, Chevy Lumina, with passenger Rosalia Lopez, 45 years old.  The Chevrolet was traveling east on South Avenue, when at the intersection of Chestnut Avenue, the car ran the stop sign.

The Lumina drove into the path of a white, 2006 Ford F-350, driven by an Exeter man, 20 years old.

Cruz and Lopez were pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.  The pickup truck driver suffered minor injuries.

Gas Tanker Involved in Multi-Car Crash on Highway 58, in Bakersfield

May 14, 2015- A multiple vehicle accident occurred in Bakersfield, on Thursday.  The semi truck collision happened on Highway 58, at around 4:46 PM.

The crash took place on the westbound freeway, near the transition to northbound Highway 99.  At least three cars; a Hyundai Sonata, a Toyota Corolla, and a gasoline tanker truck were involved.

Six people were injured in the incident, with minor to moderate injuries.

The CHP have reported that the accident was, in part, caused by the slick road conditions on the highway caused by the rain.

Truck Collision Leads to Overturned Vehicle, North of Fresno, on Friant Road

On Wednesday, May 6, 2015, a rollover vehicle collision took place north of Fresno, on Friant Road.  The truck crash occurred at about 3:40 in the afternoon.

A driver in his 30's was headed southbound in a black Toyota Tacoma, on Friant Road, when the truck suddenly veered into the opposite lane of traffic.  The pickup rolled over and ended up on its roof, near Willow Avenue and Birkhead Avenue.

The man suffered injuries in the accident, and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

The cause of the incident is being investigated by the authorities.

Two Killed in Automobile Accident on Chestnut and South Avenues, near Fowler

Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield Collision Attorney John L. Rozier has the following accident report; On Wednesday, May 13, 2015, a car accident took place west of Fowler.  The automobile collision ended in two fatalities, at the intersection of South and Chestnut avenues, at approximately 6 AM.

A white, 2001 Chevrolet Lumina was driving eastbound on South Avenue.  At the intersection of South Ave. and Chestnut Avenue, the Chevy was reported to have run a stop sign.  The car entered the intersection directly into the path of a white, 2006 Ford F-350 pickup truck that was headed north on Chestnut.

The impact of the collision led to the deaths of the Lumina's occupants; a 55 year old man from Fresno, and a female, also from Fresno, in her 40s.

The truck driver, a 20 year old man from Exeter, sustained minor injuries.

Fatality on Highway 58 in Kern County, near Keene, Caused by SUV Crash

May 11, 2015- A fatal crash in Kern County stopped traffic on Highway 58, on Monday.  The vehicle accident took place near Keene, California, at around 2:00 PM.

The SUV collision which happened about 30 miles east of Bakersfield, led to westbound Highway 58 being blocked off.

Tulare County Vehicle Collision on Avenue 88 & Road 224, near Terra Bella

San Joaquin Valley Automobile Accident Lawyer John Rozier has the following update; On Wednesday, May 6, 2015, a pickup truck collision left two injured.  The Tulare County vehicle crash occurred near Terra Bella during the morning hours.

A Honda Civic, driven by a Terra Bella man, 64, was traveling west on Avenue 88.  The driver stopped at the stop sign that was posted at the intersection of Road 224.  The Honda then drove into the intersection, and was hit by a Ford F-250 truck that was driving north on Road 224.

A 36 year old Terra Bella man was the driver of the pickup truck .  The pickup swerved into a dirt field, upon impact with the Civic, and rolled over onto its roof.  The passenger, a 22 year old Porterville man, was ejected from the truck.  While the driver had to be rescued from the vehicle by emergency crews.

The two victims in the Ford sustained moderate injuries.  They were taken by ambulance to the hospital.

The other driver, and his two passengers were not hurt in the incident.

Hit and Run Multi-Vehicle Crash on Divisadero Street, in Visalia

May 8, 2015- A three-vehicle collision ended in a hit-and-run in Visalia, on Friday.  The Tulare County multiple car accident occurred on Divisadero Street and Connelly Avenue, at approximately 4:05 PM.

A silver Mitsubishi, driven by Oliver Jackson, 24, was headed eastbound on Connelly Ave.  The automobile failed to stop at the posted stop sign.  As Jackson drove into the intersection at Divisadero Street, a Mustang, traveling south, smashed into it.

The Mustang then collided with a Toyota Tacoma, that was parked along the side of Divisadero St.  The car then overturned and came to rest on its roof.

Jackson fled the scene of the crash on foot, and was later found at his nearby home.  He was arrested for hit and run.  He was not hurt in the incident.

The driver of the Mustang and two passengers, which included a 2/3-year-old child, were injured.  The two passengers were taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.

DUI Pickup Truck Collision with Motorcycle Ends in Fatality, in Kern County, on Sunset Boulevard

On Wednesday, May 6, 2015, a drunk driving accident ended in the death of a motorcyclist, in Kern County.  The victim has been identified, in the pickup truck collision that took place near Arvin, at around 6:10 PM.

Danny Darnell Cottengim, 57 years old, of Bakersfield, was driving his motorcycle east on Sunset Boulevard, near Towerline Road, when he was hit by a white pickup truck.  The truck, driven by Angel Jimenez, was westbound on Sunset Blvd., when it made a turn suddenly, right into the path of the bike.

The biker was ejected from the motorcycle after the vehicles collided.  Cottengim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Jimenez, and his wife, who was a passenger in the truck, were unharmed.  Officers arrested the pickup driver for driving while intoxicated.

Multiple Car Accident in Visalia on Divisadero Street and Connelly Avenue

Visalia Accident Lawyer John Rozier has the subsequent collision report; On Friday, May 8, 2015, a multi-vehicle crash occurred in Tulare County.  The car collision ended in one driver fleeing the scene, in Visalia, at about 4:05 PM.

Automobile Accident near Terra Bella, on Avenue 88 and Road 224

May 6, 2015- Two people were hurt in a truck collision in Tulare County.  The vehicle accident happened on Wednesday morning, near Terra Bella.

A 64 year old Terra Bella man was driving a Honda Civic westbound on Avenue 88.  At the intersection of Avenue 88 and Road 224, the Civic stopped at the posted stop sign.  The Honda then drove into the intersection, directly in the path of a Ford F-250 pickup truck that was northbound on Road 224.

The Ford, which was driven by a 36 year old Terra Bella man, and had a 22 year old Porterville man as a passenger, swerved out of control from the impact of the crash.  It veered into a dirt field and overturned onto the roof.

The pickup's cab was reported to have collapsed and the driver had to be extracted by emergency personnel.  The passenger, who had not been wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident, was thrown from the vehicle.

Both victims in the Ford suffered moderate injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Honda driver and his two passengers were unharmed.

Drunk Driving Truck Accident Leads to Death of Motorcyclist near Arvin, on Sunset Boulevard

Central California Car Collision Attorney John L. Rozier has the following report; On Wednesday, May 6, 2015 a vehicle accident killed a Kern County motorcyclist.  The pickup truck collision occurred near Arvin, during the evening hours.

Angel Jimenez, 52 years old, was driving a white pickup truck with his wife.  The pickup truck was traveling westbound on Sunset Boulevard, southeast of Bakersfield, near Tower Line Road.  Jimenez made a turn from Sunset Blvd., directly into the path of a motorcycle that was headed east on the roadway.

After the two vehicles collided, the biker was thrown from his motorcycle.  The man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the crash.

Jimenez and his wife were not hurt.  The CHP arrested the driver for driving under the influence of alcohol.  It is reported that he had a blood-alcohol level that was great than .08.

Traffic Accident on McAuliff Street, One Killed, in Visalia

Tulare County Wrongful Death Lawyer John Rozier has the following collision report: On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, a fatal traffic accident took place in Visalia.  The rear-end vehicle crash that ended in the death of one driver, occurred at around 3:30 AM, on McAuliff Street, near Golden West High School.

Jose De Jesus Sanchez, 65, was driving south on McAuliff, in a black 1999 Hyundai Accent.  As the Accent was crossing the St. John's River bridge, a Honda Accord drove up behind it at a higher rater of speed.

Interstate 5 Semi Truck Crash in Kern County, One Killed

On Thursday, May 7, 2015, a woman was killed in a SUV collision on I-5, at about 2:30 AM.  The semi truck accident took place on Interstate 5, just south of the Kern County line.

A 49 year old female driver, from Burlingame, and three passengers were traveling in a Sport Utility Vehicle southbound on the I-5 highway.  The SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed, according to the CHP.  It crashed into the back of a big rig trailer that had become loose and stabilized in the freeway lanes.

The driver of the SUV died at the scene of the crash.  The passengers, which included a 14 year old girl, and a 17 year old boy, sustained minor injuries.

Motorcycle Accident Leads to Fatality on Sunset Boulevard in Kern County

May 6, 2015- A suspected DUI collision leads to a drivers arrest in Kern County.  The fatal motorcycle accident happened near Arvin, southeast of Bakersfield, on Wednesday evening.

A white pickup truck, driven by Angel Jimenez, 52, and his wife, both from Arvin, were headed west on Sunset Boulevard.  The pickup truck turned, near Tower Line Road, into the path of a man riding on a motorcycle.

Upon impact with the truck, the motorcyclist was ejected from his bike.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jimenez and his wife were not injured.

Fatal Tulare County Automobile Collision Near Pixley, on Wright Avenue & Elm Street

An investigation is needed into a car collision that killed a 56 year old Earlimart man, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.  The automobile accident occurred in Tulare County, near Pixley, at approximately 11:50 in the morning.

The Earlimart driver was traveling in a 2001 Chevrolet vehicle, going west on Wright Avenue.  The Chevy failed to stop at the intersection of Wright and Elm Street.  As the vehicle entered the intersection, it collided with a pickup truck, that was traveling northbound.

The truck, which was driven by Juan Lopez, 24, had the right-of-way.  It has now come to light that the stop sign, that should have been posted at the east side of Wright Avenue, was missing at the time of the crash.  Authorities have reported that this was a factor in the collision.

The Chevrolet's driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  Lopez received minor injuries.

Kern County Motorcycle Collision on Airport Drive in Oildale

On Monday, April 27, 2015, a motorcycle accident took place in Oildale.  The Kern County vehicle collision ended in arrest for one driver.

A motorcycle was reported to have been driving at a high rate of speed as it headed down Airport Drive.  The California Highway Patrol said that the biker was weaving in and out of traffic, and then ran into the back of a grey Sport Utility Vehicle at Airport Dr., and Lincoln Avenue.

The SUV then proceeded to flee the scene of the crash.  The driver of the vehicle was later found and arrested for leaving the scene of an accident.

Riverdale Head-on Truck Accident Kills One, on Mt. Whitney and Howard Avenues

April 27, 2015- A head-on car collision ended in fatality for one person, in Riverdale.  The pickup truck crash took place southwest of Fresno, on Monday, at about 7:00 AM.

The California Highway Patrol said that the accident took place at the intersection of Mt. Whitney and Howard avenues.  A Chevy pickup truck collided with another automobile.  After the two vehicles crashed into one another, they both caught fire.

One victim  was reported to have died in the collision.  No other injuries have been released at this time.

Fatal Car Crash on St. John's River Bridge in Visalia

April 14, 2015- A rear-end automobile accident took place in Visalia, on Tuesday.  The fatal car crash happened at the St. John's River bridge, on McAuliff Street, at around 3:30 AM.

Jose De Jesus Sanchez, 65, was driving a black 1999 Hyundai Accent, at a slower rate of speed, traveling south on McAuliff St., across the bridge.  At the same time a Honda Accord, driven by 22 year old Michael Coffman, was driving southbound on the bridge at a faster speed.

The Honda crashed into the back of the Hyundai, and pushed both vehicles south across the bridge.  The autos came to rest in front of Golden West High School.

Sanchez suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

Coffman and a passenger in the Honda sustained minor injuries.  Both did not want medical treatment.

Fresno Rollover Car Crash on Jensen Avenue and Pullman Street

May 5, 2015- An automobile accident took place in southeast Fresno, on Tuesday.  The rollover car collision happened on Jensen Avenue, at around 4:00 in the morning.

The driver of a white Honda sedan was headed east on Jensen Avenue, when for an unknown reason he crossed the center divide.  The Honda crashed into some trees, and then overturned into the westbound lanes, at Pullman Street.

The engine of the vehicle was thrown from the car, and the Jaws-of-Life had to be used to get the man out.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.  He is expected to survive.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, an automobile collision resulted in the death of a Selma woman, in Fresno County.  The SUV accident happened near Kingsburg, at approximately 5:45 PM.

A 2004 Cadillac Escalade, driver by 62 year old Maria Jesus Gonzalez-Valdez/Vasquez, was traveling southbound on Sixth Avenue, just north of Bangor Avenue.  Passengers; Petra Rodriguez, and Guadalupe Cano, and an 89 year old woman from Selma, were also in the SUV.

A 2014 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Ruben Orona, was in Meli's Grocery parking lot, when the car entered the southbound lane on Sixth Ave.  The Hyundai pulled out right in front of the Sport Utility Vehicle.

The front of the Sonata smashed into the right side of the Cadillac, which caused the Escalade to rollover several times.  The passenger in the front seat of the SUV was thrown from the vehicle.  She sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Vasquez, Rodriguez, and Cano sustained minor to moderate injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

Orona was not injured.

School Bus Accident on Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield, One Killed

On Friday, May 1, 2015, a school bus, carrying eight children, and a car collided in Kern County.  The vehicle accident ended in fatality for one victim and left one other seriously hurt, in east Bakersfield, at about 2:36 PM.

A 1994 Acura, was driving west on East Truxtun Avenue, at reportedly a high rate of speed.  At the same time a Bakersfield City School District bus, driven by 72 year old Janet Foster, was headed east on Truxtun Avenue, about to turn north onto Gage Street.  The bus was carrying students home from College Heights Elementary School.

The school bus stopped for traffic and then pulled out into the intersection.  As Foster turned she noticed the Acura speeding towards the bus.  She hit the brakes, but was too late and the front of the bus collided with the left side of the Acura.

The automobile's driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car.  He died at the scene of the collision.  The passenger in the Acura suffered major injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Janet Foster and the children on the bus were not hurt in the accident.

Multiple Vehicle Accident on Highway 190 in Porterville

Tulare County Personal Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident report; On Thursday, April 30, 2015, a three-vehicle collision occurred in Porterville.  The motorcycle crash happened on Highway 190, at about 11:40 AM.

The CHP reported that a Jeep, driven by Billy Joe Barrett, 72, of Porterville, was traveling west on Highway 190.  The Jeep veered off the highway, and smashed into the back of a Tulare County truck, filled with road signs, that was parked on the shoulder of the road.

The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to spin around and a Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Donald Wayne Wright, 56, collided with the side of the Jeep.

Barrett sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Sierra View Medical Center.  His passenger, Bridget Lynn Holland, 40, of Porterville, suffered major injuries to her legs.  She was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

The motorcyclist, Don Wright, received minor injuries.  The county truck driver; 19 year old Austin Ralph Bodley, of Strathmore, also sustained minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.

The California Highway Patrol said that alcohol was not a factor in the incident.

Tulare County U.S. Post Office Vehicle Accident Ends in Fatality on Delta Street, in Porterville

April 3, 2015- An United States Postal Truck accident ends fatally for one little boy in Tulare County.  The vehicle collision took place in Porterville on Friday, at approximately 1:30 PM.

T.J. Trevino, 18 months old, was playing in his front yard, with his family.  It is reported that while he was in the yard, a Post Office vehicle stopped to deliver the mail, at the Delta Street home. As the mail truck started to pull away from the sidewalk, the small child darted out into the street.

The mail carrier, who is reported to not have seen the toddler, started to drive the truck and hit T.J.  Witnesses said that the child was not breathing after the collision.

An ambulance came and rushed him to Sierra View Medical Center, in Porterville.  T.J. Trevino was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital.
