May 31, 2015- A Tulare County woman was killed in an SUV collision, on Sunday. The vehicle accident happened in Visalia, at approximately 1 PM, on Lovers Lane.
Michael Thayer, 19 years old, was driving a 2007 Jeep Patriot north on Lovers Lane. The Sport Utility Vehicle tried to make a left turn onto Tulare Avenue, and was struck by a 1996 Honda Accord that was traveling south on Lovers Lane.
Fahm Sautern, 41, of Visalia, was a passenger in the Honda. She sustained serious injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center. She succumbed to her injuries and died in the hospital on Thursday, June 4th.
Two other passengers in the Accord; Sou Saefong, and Ying Saechao, suffered minor to moderate injuries. Ty Phanachone, 63 years old, the driver of the Honda, was not injured. Thayer also was not hurt.

Kern County Automobile Collision Ends in Fatality, on Highway 223, in Arvin

John L. Rozier has the following accident report; On Saturday, June 20, 2015, two people were fatally wounded in a rollover vehicle collision, on Highway 223. The Kern County automobile accident occurred in Arvin, at approximately 4:40 in the morning.
A 22 year old female driver of a black Honda Accord, was headed west on Highway 223. The Accord started to veer off the highway, near General Beale Road. The car collided with a barbwire fence and then rolled over.
The driver and a passenger, who was also 22 years old, were ejected from the Honda. They were reported to have not been wearing their seat belts, when the accident happened.
The two women died at the scene of the collision. A third female in the automobile, suffered serious injuries. She was taken to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield, for treatment. Her condition is unknown.

Big Rig Accident on Southbound Highway 99, in Fresno, at Jensen Avenue Exit
June 30, 2015- A big rig collision occurred on southbound Highway 99, in Fresno. The double semi truck accident happened on early Tuesday morning, near the Jensen Avenue exit.
One semi, with a trailer filled with onions, was parked on the shoulder of Hwy 99 south. Another tractor-trailer was traveling on the southbound freeway and smashed into the stopped rig.
Upon impact, the cargo of the vehicles was sent flying all over the roadway. All the lanes of the freeway were closed until crews could clean up the wreckage.
Both semi truck drivers suffered injuries. They were taken by ambulance to local hospitals.

Pickup Truck Crash Causes Power Outage in Tulare County, near Ivanhoe
June 29, 2015- A pickup truck crash left people without power in Tulare County. The vehicle accident took place northwest of Ivanhoe, on Road 132, at around 5:17 PM.
A white pickup truck was driving on Road 132, south of Avenue 352, when for an unknown reason the driver lost control. The vehicle left the roadway and smashed into a wooden power pole.
The impact of the truck caused the pole and live electrical wires to fall to the ground. The electricity in the downed wires started a grass fire in the area. Firefighters could not put out the fire until the power was shut off by a Southern California Edison work crew.
Power was reported to have been lost for 629 homes and businesses in the area.
The driver in the incident sustained minor injuries.

Pedestrian Identified in SUV Collision at Virginia Avenue, in Bakersfield
On Monday, June 29, 2015, a pedestrian was killed in a vehicle accident in Kern County. The SUV collision occurred in east Bakersfield, at approximately 9:21 PM. The man has been identified as Jose Jesus Rodriguez Garcia.
Garcia, 69, was walking south on Larry Street, when he crossed the intersection at Virginia Avenue. At the same time a Sport Utility Vehicle was eastbound on Virginia Avenue. The driver of the vehicle attempted to swerve out of the way, but did not do so in time.

The SUV hit the pedestrian as he crossed outside of a crosswalk.
Garcia suffered major injuries and died in the ambulance on his way to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield.
The driver was not hurt.

Merced County Big Rig Crash Ends in Fatality on Highway 165, near Los Banos
June 23, 2015- A fatal big rig accident took place on Highway 165, in Merced County. The semi truck collision occurred between Los Banos and Hilmar, on Tuesday, at about 2:00 PM.
Thomas Watkins, of Los Banos, was driving a white 2016 Acura ILX, on State Route 165, near Wolfsen Road. The Acura crashed into a 2005 Kenworth tractor-trailer, driven by Jason Cann, 43, with passenger Lori Cuffman, 43, of San Lorenzo.
It has been reported that the Acura was driving erratically right before the collision.
Watkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cuffman suffered serious injuries, and was taken to a local hospital. Cann sustained minor injuries.

Auberry Rollover Vehicle Collision Injures Four People, on Highway 168
Visalia, and Fresno Accident Attorney John Rozier has the subsequent collision report; On Sunday, June 28, 2015, four people were hurt in a rollover automobile crash. The car accident took place near Prather, in Auberry, on Highway 168, at around 1 PM.
A gray Volkswagen vehicle, that had four teenagers, ages 17 and 18, inside, were headed west on Highway 168, in the Fresno County area. The VW was reported to have been traveling at a high rate of speed, when the driver attempted to make it around a curve.
The auto veered into the eastbound lane, and the driver lost control after over-correcting. The Volkswagen clipped a Honda Civic and went off the freeway. The vehicle drove through fencing, and rolled over multiple times into a ravine, before it came to rest on its wheels.
The victims were trapped inside the car, until they could be rescued by emergency personnel.
Three of the four teenagers sustained major injuries. The fourth person sustained moderate injuries. One of the victims was medi-flighted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno. The other three were taken on the ground to Saint Agnes Medical Center, and CRMC.
The two occupants of the Civic were not harmed.

Fatal Head-on Car Collision near Visalia, on Road 80
On Sunday, June 14, 2015, a head-on car collision ends in fatality near Visalia. The Tulare County vehicle accident occurred at approximately 2:00 AM, on Road 80/Plaza Drive.
A station wagon, driven by a Visalia man, was driving southbound in the northbound lane of Road 80.
At the same time a Chevrolet, driven by Maria Equihua, of Sultana, was traveling north on the roadway. The two vehicles collided head-on, near Avenue 32, north of Visalia.
After the crash, the station wagon burst into flames.

Suspect Arrested in Police Officer's Death After Car Crash in Bakersfield
Update on the patrol car accident that killed a Bakersfield Police Officer on Friday, June 26, 2015. The suspect that Officer Nelson was in pursuit of has been arrested. The vehicle collision took place at approximately 2:45 PM.
The suspect has been identified as Julian Hernandez, 32 years old.
Officer David Nelson of the Bakersfield Police Department, was pursuing Hernandez, who was driving a silver Hyundai, down Panorama Drive. For an unknown reason the officer lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of Panorama, and Mt. Vernon Avenue.
Emergency personnel found him pinned inside the automobile. Officer Nelson was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Hernandez was arrested Saturday, June 27th, at about 11:30 PM.

Rollover Collision Ends Fatally in Bakersfield, at Wible and McKee Roads
On Saturday, June 13, 2015, a rollover automobile accident ends in fatality, in Bakersfield. The Kern County car collision happened at the intersection of McKee and Wible roads, at around 3:45 PM.
Officers reported that an adult male was driving his vehicle when he crashed at the 3300 block of Mckee Road. After the impact the car overturned in the intersection of Wible Road and McKee Rd.

Skateboard and Big Rig Crash at Union and California Avenues, in Bakersfield
An update to the semi truck accident that occurred on Thursday, June 25, 2015, in Bakersfield. The skateboarder that was struck by the big rig has died. He has been identified as 17 year old, Blas Nahum Sandoval.
The tractor-trailer made a turn from south Union Avenue onto west California Avenue. It is reported that the woman driver had a green light.
Witnesses claimed that Sandoval did not wait for the semi truck to fully turn before he entered the crosswalk at the intersection. The skateboarder ran into the rear wheels of the double trailer.

Madera County Motorcycle Accident Ends in Fatality, on Highway 41, near Serpa Canyon Road

The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident was caused as traffic was slowing down on Highway 41, near Serpa Canyon Road. The bike did not slow in time, and hit the back of another vehicle.

June 22, 2015- A big rig collision took place in Tulare County, on Monday. The fatal head-on semi truck accident occurred near Terra Bella, at approximately 12:40 AM.
A Jeep Cherokee, driven by Rogelio Rodriguez, of Porterville, was traveling north on Highway 65. As the Jeep neared Avenue 12, it veered into oncoming traffic and smashed head-on into a semi truck.
Rodriguez died at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the tractor-trailer; James Chambers, of Visalia, suffered minor injuries, but did not want medical treatment.

Bakersfield Police Officer Killed in Patrol Car Collision on Panorama Drive & Mt. Vernon Ave.
June 26, 2015- A Police Officer was killed in a car collision in Bakersfield, on Friday. The patrol vehicle accident occurred at Mt. Vernon Avenue and Panorama Drive, at about 2:45 AM.

Skateboarder Seriously Injured After Collision With Semi Truck, in Bakersfield
Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield Personal Injury Attorney John L. Rozier has the following accident report; On Thursday, June 25, 2015, a big rig collided with a skateboarder, in Kern County. The semi truck collision happened in Bakersfield at around 12:53 PM.
Officers reported that the tractor-trailer crash occurred in the area of East California Avenue, and Union Avenue. The skateboarder appears to be a teenager.
The teen was said to have suffered serious injuries and was taken to Kern Medical Center. He was last listed as being in critical condition.

Tulare County Vehicle Crash Ends in Fatality on Road 80, North of Visalia
June 14, 2015- One person was killed in a vehicle accident in Tulare County, on Sunday. The head-on collision happened north of Visalia, at around 2 AM, on Road 80.
A Visalia man driving a station wagon, was traveling on Road 80, before it becomes Plaza Drive. The vehicle was headed south in the northbound lane of traffic, when it crashed head-on with a 2012 Chevrolet.
The Chevy, driven by Maria Equihua, of Sultana, was driving north on Road 80, near Avenue 32, when the crash occurred. Upon impact the station wagon caught fire and was quickly engulfed in flames.
The driver of the station wagon was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. Equihua sustained major injuries and was taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.

Automobile Collision Injures Teen Driver in Bakersfield, on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
On Wednesday, June 3, 2015, a vehicle accident led to serious injuries for one teen driver, in Bakersfield. The Kern County car collision occurred on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, at approximately 6:30 AM.
The 17 year old, was reported to have been leaving the driveway of an apartment complex, in a blue Honda vehicle. The sedan pulled out from the east side of the street, right into the path of a white Toyota Camry.
The Toyota was driven by a 75 year old man, and was traveling north on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The two automobiles collided, as the Honda drove into the roadway.
The teenager suffered major injuries and was taken to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield. The Camry's driver also sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Head-on Big Rig Collision on Highway 65, near Terra Bella, Kills Porterville Man

Injury Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident report; On Monday, June 22, 2015 a semi truck collision ended in fatality. The big rig accident happened on Highway 65, near Terra Bella, at around 12:40 AM.
Rogelio Rodriguez, 23, of Porterville, was driving a Jeep Cherokee northbound on Highway 65, near Avenue 12. His vehicle drifted into the opposite lane of traffic, right into the path of a tractor-trailer, driven by James Chambers, of Visalia.
The Jeep and semi truck crashed into each other head-on. Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Chambers sustained minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.
The incident is under investigation.

Double Fatality in Rollover Car Accident on Bear Mountain Road, in Arvin
June 21, 2015- A fatal car accident took place in Kern County, on Sunday. The automobile collision happened in Arvin, southeast of Bakersfield.
The rollover crash occurred on Bear Mountain Boulevard. The vehicle overturned into a field, and two women were ejected.
They died at the scene of the accident. Another victim in the car sustained serious injuries and was taken to Kern County Medical Center.

Motorcyclist Killed After Vehicle Collision on Highway 41, in Madera County
On Thursday, June 18, 2015, a motorcycle accident ended in fatality on Highway 41. The Madera County vehicle collision took place at about 3:00 PM, near Serpa Canyon Road.
The CHP have reported that the crash was caused when traffic started to slow down on the highway, and the motorcyclist did not slow down in time.
The biker crashed into the back of another automobile. He was thrown from his bike and died at the scene of the incident.
No other injuries were reported. The accident is under investigation.

May 17, 2015- A man was seriously injured in a rollover car accident, in Bakersfield. The Kern County vehicle collision happened Wednesday, on Highway 58.
It is reported that the driver of an automobile was traveling on Highway 58. The car swerved to avoid hitting a couch, at Fairfax Road. The vehicle lost control and overturned multiple times, coming to rest off the side of the freeway.
The driver suffered major injuries and was taken to the hospital. A small child was also in the sedan, but was not seriously hurt.

Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Truck Accident, in Fresno
June 13, 2015- A bicyclist was hit and killed in a car collision in North Fresno, on Saturday afternoon. The hit and run pickup truck accident occurred on Fresno Street.
Police reported that the bike rider was traveling along the roadway when he swerved suddenly into traffic. The bicycle was hit by a light colored pickup truck, that had lawn equipment in the back, driven by a man in his late 20's.
It is said that the driver of the truck stopped, but then took off before authorities arrived. He now faces felony hit and run charges.
The bicyclist taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Vehicle Accident in Visalia, on Lovers Lane and Tulare Avenue, One Killed
A car accident on Sunday, May 31, 2015, led to the death of a Visalia woman on Thursday. The Tulare County vehicle collision took place in Visalia, at Lovers Lane, at around 1 PM.
A 2007 Jeep Patriot, driven by Michael Thayer, 19, was headed northbound on Lovers Lane. The SUV attempted to make a westbound turn onto Tulare Avenue, when it was hit by a 1996 Honda Accord, driven by Ty Phanachone, 63.
The Honda was driving south on Lovers Lane when it smashed into the Jeep.
Fahm Sauteurn, 41, was a passenger in the Accord. She suffered major internal injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center. She later died on Thursday, June 4th.
Sou Saefong, and Ying Saechao, were also passengers in the Honda. They sustained minor to moderate injuries. The two drivers in the crash; Phanachone and Thayer, were not hurt.
