Pedestrian Accident Kills Girl in Porterville on Tyler Avenue

November 9, 2014- A pedestrian accident in Tulare County, ended in fatality, on Sunday evening.  The hit-and-run auto collision occurred in Porterville, at approximately 6 PM.

18 year old Adolfo Balbuena was reported to have been driving while intoxicated in the area of Tyler Avenue and Conner Street.  He was driving erratically and the 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo he was driving, smashed through a fence and hit an ice cream truck that was parked at the side of the road.

The Chevrolet hit and pinned three kids to the truck, before backing up and driving away.  One of the children was Angeles Moreno.  She suffered serious injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The other two minors, and one of the ice cream truck vendors, sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital as well.

Authorities later found Balbuena in a backyard, after his brother was reported to have picked him up and dropped him off at the place of residence.

He has been arrested and officials are waiting on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, as to whether Balbuena will face charges.  He is an illegal immigrant and could be deported back to Mexico.

Hit and Run Car Accident Kills Little Girl in Porterville

An update to the hit and run accident that occurred on Sunday, November 9, 2014, in Tulare County.  The car collision left a 3 year old fatally wounded, in Porterville, at about 6 PM.

Adolfo Balbuena, 18 years old, was driving drunk near Tyler Avenue and Conner Street, in a Chevrolet Monte Carlo.  The Chevy was westbound on Tyler Ave. when Balbuena lost control and swerved off the road.

The vehicle crashed into a fence and then hit an ice cream truck that was parked at the side of the street, where a group of pedestrians were standing.  The Monte Carlo collided with three children, including the 3 year old girl, Angeles Moreno, and pinned them to the truck.

Balbuena then backed up and fled the scene.  It has now been reported that he called his brother to pick him up.  The brother later admitted to dropping Balbuena off at a friend's house, where the police later found him hiding in the backyard and arrested him.

Angeles Moreno was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia, with major injuries.  She was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The two other children and one of the ice cream truck vendors were also injured and taken for treatment to the hospital.

Balbuena for the moment remains in jail, but it has been uncovered that he is an illegal immigrant.  So it is up to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services whether he will face charges and go to prison if found guilty.

Three Year Old Struck and Killed by Car in Porterville on Tyler Avenue

November 9, 2014- a hit and run vehicle accident leaves a toddler fatally wounded, in Tulare County.  The pedestrian collision took place in Porterville, on Sunday, at about 6 PM.

Angeles Moreno, 3 years old, and her family were out buying some ice cream, from a ice cream truck at Tyler Avenue.  She, and two other children,walked out to the truck, when a car, driven by Adolfo Balbuena, drove through a fence and into the truck.

The Chevrolet Monte Carlo pinned the three kids to the truck, before Balbuena back up and drove away.  It has been reported that he was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Moreno was rushed to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.  She was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.  The two other children and one of the truck's vendors suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Balbeuna was apprehended a short time later.  He was found hiding in a yard and was not hurt in the crash.  Officials have now reported that he is in the country illegally.

Toddler Girl Killed in Hit and Run Accident in Porterville

On Sunday, November 9, 2014, a 3 year old child was killed in a hit-and-run auto collision, in Tulare County.  The pedestrian accident occurred in Porterville, at approximately 6 PM.

The CHP have reported that Adolfo Balbuena, 18 years old, was driving a 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo sedan, while intoxicated.  He was traveling west on Tyler Avenue, when the car veered off the roadway, and onto the dirt shoulder of Tyler Ave.

The Chevrolet crashed into a fence and then into an ice cream truck that was parked at the side of the road, where a group of pedestrians were gathered.

The car hit the little girl, who has now been identified Angeles Moreno, and two other children and pinned them to the truck.  The Chevy then backed up and drove away from the scene of the crash.

Balbuena was later found hiding in the backyard, and was arrested.  It has been reported that he was an illegal immigrant.
