Highway 99 Big Rig Accident Ends Fatally Near Kingsburg

September 13, 2014- A semi truck accident ends in fatality, on Highway 99.  The big rig collision happened south of Kingsburg, at about 12 AM, on Saturday.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 37 year old Ceres man, was driving  south on the freeway, when he drifted into the center median as the rig was south of Road 12.  The semi collided into a parked water truck, that was unoccupied.  The impact of the collision then pushed the water tanker, into another parked vehicle, this time a dump truck.

The crash caused the semi truck's left-side fuel tank to rupture and spill oil onto the highway.

The Ceres man died at the scene of the accident.
