James Capps, of Porterville, was traveling west in a 1996 Ford Aspire on Avenue 196, east of Road 248. The car veered onto the south dirt shoulder and flipped multiple times before colliding with orange trees at the side of the road.
Capps sustained injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia. The passenger in the Ford; Allen Beebout, sustained minor injuries, but was not taken to the hospital.
