Semi Truck Caught Fire in Accident on Interstate 5, Kern County

July 22, 2014- A semi truck accident causes grass fire on the Grapevine, in Kern County.  The Interstate 5 collision happened on Tuesday, at about 1 PM.

A big rig was traveling southbound on the I-5 highway, when for an unknown reason, it caught fire in the right-hand lane.  The fire then spread to the grass at the side of the freeway, south of Grapevine Road.

This caused all lanes of the southbound highway to be shut down until the flames could be contained, and the burned tractor-trailer could be cleared from the road.

No other information is known at this time.

Issues still remaining to be investigated; determining whether road conditions may have contributed to this accident, and any malfunctions of the big rig.  If you would like these issues investigated further then please call Attorney John Rozier, your personal injury, and elder abuse lawyer at 559-713-0159, or reach me online at www.nelsonrozier.com
