Pedestrian Killed While Crossing Hwy 180 in Fresno

November 15, 2011- A teenager was struck and killed while crossing a freeway in Fresno, Tuesday night. The accident happened at about 6:30 PM.

Angel Perez, 13, was walking to the store with her two friends in southeast Fresno, on Cedar Avenue near Highway 180. She decided to take a shortcut and illegally cross the 180 to meet her two friends who had crossed using the Cedar Ave./Hwy 168 overpass sidewalk.

She went down to the freeway to run across and meet back up with the girls. A car, driven by a 25 year old man who was commuting home and going the speed limit, struck Perez as she was darting across the freeway.

Perez died at the scene of the crash. The driver was not injured, but his vehicle suffered major damage.

Please give us a call, if you are a relative or are in touch with the family, and would like us to investigate this accident further. We are located in Visalia, south of Fresno. Attorney John Rozier 559-713-0159.
