January 27, 2012- A woman was injured in a crash involving three vehicles, just minutes from Fresno, near Kingsburg. The accident happened on Friday, at about 8:00 AM.
Mary Jo Reid, of Selma, was traveling east on Mountain View Avenue, when Alexandra Alves, of Kingsburg, was westbound on Mountain View. Alves, waited to turn south onto Academy Avenue, when she was rear-ended by a third vehicle.
The third vehicle's driver, Adriana Gonzales, hit Alves hard enough, that the impact pushed it into the oncoming lane. This caused Alves' and Reid's cars to collide head-on.
Reid suffered serious injuries. She was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. It is reported that she was still in bad condition on Saturday.
Alves and Gonzales received minor injuries in the collision.
