Fatal Head-on Vehicle Accident in Kern County, on Weedpatch Highway

On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, a head-on semi truck accident occurred in east Bakersfield, on Weedpatch Highway.  The Kern County vehicle collision happened at approximately 9 PM.

A red Ford Focus, driven by a male 30 year old, from Arvin, was traveling on Weedpatch Highway, near Edision Highway.  The Ford swerved over the median of the roadway, and drove into oncoming traffic.

The car hit a tractor-trailer head-on.

At the time of the crash the driver was reported to have not been wearing his safety harness.  He sustained serious injuries, and was rushed to Kern Medical Center.  He later died in the hospital.

The semi truck driver was uninjured in the incident.

Issues still remaining to be investigated include whether road conditions may have contributed to this accident, and whether there was a malfunction in the automobile.  If you would like these issues investigated further then please call Attorney John Rozier, your personal injury and wrongful death lawyer, at 559-713-0159  or reach us at www.nelsonrozier.com.
