Multi-Vehicle Accident in Lindsay, Kills One, Injures Others, on Highway 65

April 20, 2015- A multi-car accident occurred in Tulare County on Monday, and left many injured and one killed.  The truck collision happened on Highway 65, in Lindsay, at approximately 5:06 AM.

A full-sized pickup truck, driven by Alejandro Ibarra, 25, was traveling southbound on Highway 65, near Fresno Street.  As the truck drove down the freeway, it veered into the oncoming lane of traffic, and sideswiped a minivan that held six people.

After the pickup hit the van it then crashed head-on into a small truck that was being driven by a 19 year old man.

Ibarra sustained major injuries and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The 19 year old also suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.  He is now in stable condition.

The six people in the minivan also received minor to major injuries and were taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta.
