SUV Accident Ends in Fatality, on Sixth Avenue, South of Kingsburg

On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, a woman was killed in a car collision that occurred in Fresno County.  The SUV accident happened south of Kingsburg, at approximately 6 PM, on Sixth Avenue.

An SUV, driven by Maria Jesus Gonzalez-Vasquez, of Selma, was traveling south at around 45 mph, on Sixth Avenue.  She had three passengers with her in the vehicle.

A car driven by Ruben Orona, of Sanger, was in a nearby parking lot, south of Barstow Avenue.  Orona pulled out right in front of the Sport Utility Vehicle, and the vehicle hit the car and overturned several times.

The front-right passenger in Vasquez's SUV was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.  She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Vasquez and the other two victims in the vehicle, sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Orona was not hurt.
