November 9 fatal big rig accident on the Bay Bridge

On November 9 a big rig plummeted off the SAn Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge killing the driver. The accident occurred on a new section of the bridge that has had 42 accidents since it opened. The driver apparentle lost control of the big rig on a west-bound S-curve. The big rig went over the side of the bridge landing on Yerba Buena Island. This was the first fatality on the S-curve since it opened on September 8. Speed limits drop on that section of the bridge.
