Hanford Teens Hit in Car Accident

March 17, 2014-  A car crash involving two teenage pedestrians happened in Hanford, west of Visalia, on Monday.  The accident happened at about 7:38 AM.

The students were crossing the street, at the marked crosswalk, near Hanford High School, on Grangeville Boulevard.  They were headed to school, when a minivan, driven by a 51 year old Laton woman, hit them.  The driver claimed she could not see the girls, because of the glare from the sun.

Officers reported that the woman was driving with a suspended license.

The girls were hurt, and taken to Adventist Medical Center.  Their injuries are reported to not be serious.
