February 15, 2012- A crash involving a truck, resulted in the driver missing in the Kern River Canyon, near Bakersfield. The accident happened on Wednesday.
Mark Roberts' truck was found Wednesday over the side of the canyon at the waters edge.
His truck had no signs inside that he'd been injured. It was in park and the keys were gone. The CHP reported that Roberts would have had to step into the river to exit the vehicle.
His body was recovered a few days later in the river, in an eddy on the east bank, just north of the crash site. Specially trained dogs were the ones to discover Roberts.
