Head-on Vehicle Collision in Bakersfield Near Alfred Harrell Highway

May 25, 2014- A head-on car collision happened in Bakersfield, California.  The Kern County accident, took place on Sunday, at approximately 3:37 PM.

The crash occurred along Alfred Harrell Highway, between two Toyota cars.  The collision caused a fire to break out from one of the vehicle's leaking fuel tank.  This happened near the Kern County Soccer Park.

One of the occupants of the Toyota was trapped inside the car, and suffered serious injuries.

Two other victims in the other vehicle sustained moderate injuries.  All the victims were taken to a local hospital to be treated.

The CHP reported that alcohol might have been a factor in the accident.
