Attempted U-Turn Causes 2-Vehicle Accident on Highway 190, in Tulare County

On Thursday, July 30, 2015, a pickup truck collision injured two people in Tulare County.  The 2-vehicle crash occurred west of Porterville on Highway 190, at approximately 10:50 AM.

A white Ford Taurus, driven by Yeraldin Navarette, of Lathrop, was traveling westbound on State Route 190.  The automobile tried to make a U-turn when it reached Road 200.

As it turned back around onto the highway, the car was hit by a white Toyota Tacoma, that had been driving behind the Ford on Hwy 190.  The truck, which was driven by Peter Dutton, of Springville, slammed into the driver's side of the Taurus.

Navarette, and a little boy, 5, suffered severe injuries.  The juvenile was medi-flighted to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  The man was also taken to CRMC for treatment, by ambulance.

Dutton was unharmed.
