Motorcyclist Killed in Vehicle Collision With a Semi Truck, in Bakersfield

August 16, 2015- A motorcycle accident ends in fatality, in Kern County, on Sunday.  The big rig collision happened in Bakersfield, at approximately 1:00 PM.

Donald Leon Williford, 55, was riding his motorcycle west on East Roberts Lanes.  At Frontier Drive the motorcyclist tried to pass a semi truck on the right-hand side.

As he attempted to pass the bike drifted to the left and struck the big rig's trailer.

Williford suffered fatal injuries, and died 90 minutes later in a local hospital.

The tractor-trailer's driver was not hurt.

While our condolences go out to the friends and family of the victim, we recognize that no monetary sum can ease the pain and loss felt after a tragedy such as this. However, just monetary compensation can help ease the burden of medical bills, final expenses, and help support any dependents left behind by the deceased.
