A Honda, driven by a 29 year old man, was traveling west on Mountain View Avenue. A semi truck, driven by a Manteca man, was headed northbound on Highway 43. At the intersection the tractor-trailer and the car collided. Officers reported that one of the vehicles ran a red light.

The impact of the collision caused the big rig to crash through a cement wall of a neighboring home. The big rig came to rest in the backyard, near a pool.
The Honda driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Manteca man was not hurt.
The police report may take several
weeks to prepare—in the meantime we can probably obtain a cover sheet of the
accident report for the family of the deceased. The collision needs to be independently investigated.
