Kern County PG&E Truck Crash Ends in Fatality, on Highway 395, in Ridgecrest

August 12, 2015- A man died in an automobile accident in Kern County, on Wednesday.  The head-on vehicle collision also involved a PG&E service truck.  The incident happened in the Ridgecrest area on Highway 395.

Kendall Cade Evans, 25, of Lancaster, was driving his car on Highway 395, near China Lake Boulevard.  For an unexplained reason Evans crossed the center divide and hit head-on into a Pacific Gas and Electric Company utility truck.

Evans was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Two PG&E workers were injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
