May 8 fatal train accident in Merced

On May 8 Eustaquia Alejandro was killed when she was hit by a train in Merced. Reportedly the woman had walked into the path of an oncoming train at 15th and O Streets in Merced when she was hit and killed. The crossing arms were down at the time of the accident. March 13 Hanford accident at Grangeville and 15th Street blamed on Toyota's brakes

On March 13 Lynda Bisseger was injured in an accident in Hanford at Grangeville Avenue and 15th Street. Reportedly the brakes failed on Bisseger's 2008 Toyota Sienna causing her to run the stop sign at that intersection.  Bessiger broke both of her feet as a result of the accident and had to undergo surgery. Her husband and grandson were also in the vehicle and were uninjured.

October 29 Merced Accident, Auto Center Drive and V Street

On October 29 Danny McGhee was injured in a 3 car accident at Auto Center Drive and V
Street in Merced. McGhee was reportedly driving westbound in a Honda Civic on West 15th Street when a Ford F350 traveling southbound on V Street hit him in the intersection. The force of the crash caused McGhee's car to crash into another Honda Civic that was stopped for a red light. McGhee was taken to the hospital for injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
