Update: Fatality on Highway 99 in Fowler

October 11, 2011- An update to the collision on Highway 99 that occurred Tuesday, south of Fresno, which left one man dead.

The 28-year-old man from Bakersfield, who drove his 2005 Chevy Trailblazer into the back of a semi truck, has been identified as Steven Edwards. Edwards died at the scene of the accident.

The crash occurred when the big rig had stopped because of debris in the roadway on Hwy 99, in Fowler.

The driver of the semi truck was J. Carbelo, of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Fatality on Highway 99 in Fowler

October 11, 2011- A deadly accident occurred Tuesday morning on Highway 99, in Fowler, just miles from Fresno.

The crash happened on the northbound lanes of Hwy 99 near Clovis Avenue at about 10:30 AM. A big rig and an SUV were involved in the collision.

The CHP said that one person was killed when the SUV hit the semi truck near the exit at Adams Avenue.

No other injuries are reported at this time.

The incident is under investigation.

October 1 wrongful death in Parlier

On October 1 an unidentified man was killed in a fatal accident in Parlier in Fresno County. Reportedly the victim was diving west on Adams Avenue near Newmark Avenue when he drifted off the road and hit a concrete canal barrier. This caused his truck to roll several times before bursting into flames. The driver was declared dead at the scene of the accident.

June 2 Reedley wrongful death accident kills two

On June 2 a man and a woman were both killed in a head-on collision in Reedley. Reportedly the man was traveling eastbound on Adams Avenue near Crawford Avenue when he drifted into the westbound lane and hit the woman’s car head-on. On June 2 there was an accident near Reedley. The accident occurred at the intersection of Adams and Crawford Avenues. May 21 Highway 99 wrongful death accident near Fowler

On May 21 a man was killed in an accident on Highway 99 at Adams Avenue near Fowler. Reportedly he was following a tractor-trailer in his Ford Mustang when he drove under the tractor-trailer. Antonio Balderas was the driver of the tractor-trailer. Balderas said he did not realize the car had hit him at first and he dragged the car for awhile before stopping. March 28 wrongful death accident on Adams Avenue and Pederson Avenue in Reedley

On March 28 Juan Leon and Ramon Garza were killed in a head-on collision on Adams Avenue in Reedley. Reportedly Leon was traveling westbound when he veered into the eastbound lane. He hit Ramon Garza's Toyota Camry head-on. Both Leon and Garza died as a result of the accident. March 9 wrongful death pedestrian accident near Easton in Fresno County

On March 9 a pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a big rig  near Easton in Fresno County. The accident occurred just before 5:30 am at Adams Avenue and Highway 41. No further details are available at this time.

Parlier motor vehicle accident in Fresno County

January 18, 2010--Yesterday's motor vehicle accident in Fresno County, near Parlier, injured 3 persons and resulted in one victim being airlifted to the hospital.  The crash took place at the intersection of Zediker Avenue and Adams Avenue.  Issues to be investigated further include whether a downed or blocked stop sign may have contributed to this accident, the speed of each vehicle and whether drugs or alcohol were involved.  If airbags were activated, then the event data recorders or black boxes in the vehicles may have recorded the pre-accident speeds.
