SUV and School Bus Collision in East-Central Fresno

December 3, 2014- A school bus accident occurred in Fresno, on Wednesday.  The collision involved a bus and an SUV, at about 8:15 AM.

The CHP said that the accident between the Sport Utility Vehicle, and the school bus took place at the intersection of East Olive and North Helm avenues.

One person in the SUV was injured and taken by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.  It is reported that there were kids riding on the bus, but they were uninjured.

School Bus Accident on Olive and Helm Avenues in Fresno

SUV Collision on Chestnut and Olive Avenues in Fresno

Visalia Senior Citizen Abuse Attorney John L. Rozier has the following collision report; On Wednesday, October 8, 2014, an SUV accident leads vehicle to crash into building.  The car crash took place in Fresno, at Olive and Chestnut avenues.

The accident occurred between a Sport Utility Vehicle and an automobile.  They collided at the intersection of Olive Avenue and Chestnut Avenue.  The impact of the collision sent the white car into the side of a nearby laundromat.

A 26 year old man, and a 30 year old woman, who were occupants in the SUV, sustained injuries and were taken to St. Agnes Hospital.  The 24 year old female driver of the car also was injured.  She was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Two Pedestrians Hit in Car Accident on Plano Street in Porterville

Visalia Nursing Home Lawyer John Rozier has the following accident report; On Wednesday, August 27, 2014, a double pedestrian accident took place in Porterville.  The Tulare County collision occurred at about 8:30 AM.

A 52 year old female, and 37 year old woman, were walking west on Plano Street, crossing within a marked crosswalk.  The pedestrians were on the north side of the intersection of Plano, and Olive Avenue.

A car was traveling eastbound on Olive Avenue, and made a northbound turn onto Plano St.  The vehicle failed to see the two women crossing the street and hit both of them.

The 52 year old pedestrian sustained moderate injuries, and was taken to Sierra View District Hospital, in Porterville.  The other woman, and the driver of the automobile were reported to not have been hurt in the crash.

Porterville Multiple Vehicle Accident at Plano Street in Parking Lot

August 12, 2014- A mulitple vehicle collision happened in Tulare County.  The automobile accident occurred in Porterville, on Tuesday morning.

A silver Toyota car was driving in the Vallarta grocery store parking lot, at Plano Street and Olive Avenue, at a high rate of speed.  The Toyota ran a stop sign and smashed into a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.  The car then hit two parked cars.

The driver of the Toyota, and two passengers in the Hyundai suffered injuries and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Two Motorcyclists Fatally Wounded After Accident Fresno on Olive Avenue

Visalia Senior Citizen Abuse Lawyer John L. Rozier has the following collision update; On Sunday, July 13, 2014, two motorcycles were involved in a fatal accident.  The vehicle collision occurred in west central Fresno, at approximately 4:30 AM.

Both motorcyclists; Rolando Gonzalez, and Luis Valenzuela-Molina, were riding their bikes west on Olive Avenue.  One of the bikers was riding a 2005 Yamaha, and the other a 2006 Honda.

The Yamaha motorcycle slowed to make a right-hand turn onto Valentine Avenue.  The Honda bike, at the same time, tried to pass the Yamaha on the right.  The two motorcycles crashed into eachother, and both men were ejected.

The driver of the Yamaha died at the scene of the crash.  While the other motorcyclist suffered major injuries, and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.  He was pronounced dead later at the hospital.

Three Car Collision on Clovis Avenue in Fresno

February 1, 2012- Three people were hurt in a crash in Fresno, Wednesday afternoon.

The three-vehicle accident happened at the intersection of Clovis Avenue and Olive Avenue.

One of the southbound lanes of Clovis Avenue was blocked.

Man Died in a Crash on Olive Ave in Fresno

December 5, 2011- a crash in east Fresno, leaves one person dead and three injured, at about 8 AM.

The driver of a 1960’s Chevy Nova left a gas station headed west, and swerved into oncoming traffic. He crashed into a 2010 Dodge pickup truck on Olive Avenue, near Peach Avenue.

The Chevy Nova’s driver, a 29 year-old man with a suspended license, was killed in the collision. The driver of the truck and two children suffered minor injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

SUV Flies Off Overpass in Fresno Killing Driver

November 29, 2011- A driver was killed in a crash in Fresno, Tuesday morning on the westbound transition from Highway 168 to Highway 180. The accident happened at about 3:00 AM.

The driver, Jordan Stokes, was traveling in a 2006 Ford Escape, when he lost control of his vehicle. The Ford drifted off the highway, hit the center divide before Olive Avenue and struck a road sign.

The vehicle went airborne as it traveled over the overpass and crashed into a dirt embankment on the south side of the street, under the Highway 168 overpass.

Stokes was thrown from his SUV. He received major injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

The CHP are investigating the cause of the crash. They claim that fog was not a factor.

May 30 accident in Fresno kills 81-year-old man

On May 30 an 81-year-old man died when his car was broadsided by Andy Ramirez, age 80,  near the intersection of Blythe and Olive Avenues in Fresno. According to reports the 81-year-old man was northbound on Blythe Avenue when he did not stop at the stop sign at the Olive Avenue intersection.  Meanwhile, Ramirez was eastbound on Olive. Ramirez attempted to stop when he saw the other vehicle coming through the intersection but was not able to stop in time. Ramirez’s pickup truck subsequently broadsided the 81-year-old man’s Honda Civic. The 81-year-old was taken to Community Regional Medical Center to be treated for major injuries. He later died there at the hospital. Ramirez was taken to Veteran’s Affairs Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Fresno crash--Lincoln hits tree in Tower District

January 3, 2011-One person was injured this morning when a vehicle struck a tree in the Tower District in Fresno.  The driver of a Lincoln hit a tree in the median on Olive near Echo.

November 16 Merced accident injures five

On November 16 there was a single-vehicle accident in Merced that injured five people. Reportedly the truck was westbound on Olive Avenue near Bedford Drive when it veered off of the right side of the road. The right side of the front of the truck hit a tree. Phillip Lopez was a passenger in that vehicle and he suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident. The driver along with three other passengers were taken to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident, but prescription drugs may have been. The investigation is still ongoing.

September 21 Madera pedestrian accident

On September 21 a young boy was killed after being hit by a car in Madera. The three-year-old boy was crossing the street near the intersection of Olive Avenue and Martin Street at the time of the accident. The vehicle that hit him then fled the scene of the accident. The victim was taken to Madera Community Hospital where he later died.

February 23 wrongful death in Turlock pedestrian accident

On February 23 Charles Arnold was killed in a wrongful death pedestrian accident on Olive Avenue in Turlock. Arnold was hit by a Honda Pilot driven by Paulette Field while crossing North Olive Avenue at Wayside Drive. Reportedly he was in the crosswalk near the sidewalk. Field saw him and braked but was unable to stop in time. The passenger side front bumper of her car hit Arnold. He was taken to Emanuel Medical Center and later pronounced dead. Field claims that she was unable to see Arnold due to the dark and rainy conditions. Officials claim that Field was driving between 35 and 40 mph in a 30 mph zone and will msot likely be cited for driving too quickly for the conditions. February 23 accident between a train and bicycle in Fresno

On February 23 a man was injured when he was hit by a train while riding his bicycle in Fresno near Olive Avenue and Golden State Boulevard. Reportedly he was wearing earbuds while he waited for a northbound train to pass. Unfortunately he was waiting on another set of tracks and was hit by a southbound train. February 4 bicycle hit and run accident in Merced

On February 4 a dark green sedan hit a man on a bicycle near Olive Avenue and G Street in Merced. The 30-year-old victim was riding across G Street when the vehicle hit him causing him to fall and hit the pavement. The man hit his head and suffered major injuries. On January 29 there was a three-vehicle crash at Maple Avenue and Olive Avenue in Fresno. The accident caused road closure on southbound Maple avenue at Olive Avenue. December 12 crash on Highway 99 in Fresno takes the life of Victor Perez

Early on the morning of December 12 Victor Perez was killed in an accident on Highway 99 in Fresno. He was driving northbound near Olive Avenue when he drifted onto the shoulder and hit the concrete center divider. This caused the truck he was driving to overturn. Bakersfield motorcycle accident

November 6, 2009--A Bakersfield police officer named Ronnie Dulan broke his arm Friday when a pickup turning into a parking lot crossed the path of his motorcycle.  The accident occurred on Olive Avenue in Bakersfield at 7:20 a.m.  The driver of the pickup was not hurt.
