Two Truck Collision Ends in Fatality near Fresno

September 19, 2011- Two pickup trucks crash southeast of Fresno, causing the death of a Sanger man.

The driver of a white Toyota truck, Xay Mouonoutoua of Sanger, was driving west on Church Avenue at about 10:20 AM. He failed to yield the right of way at Temperance Avenue, and was broadsided by a Dodge Ram truck headed south.

Mouonoutoua died at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Dodge suffered minor injuries.

Southeast Fresno Collision Ends in One Dead

September 19, 2011- A fatal crash between two vehicles occurred Monday morning, southeast of Fresno. It happened at approximately 10:30 AM.

A 66-year-old man was driving a Toyota pickup truck on Church Avenue, when he stopped at a stop sign. The Toyota then pulled into the intersection of Church and Temperance Avenue. He ran into the path of a Dodge Ram going south on Temperance.

The driver of the Toyota was not wearing a seat belt, and died at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the Dodge received minor injuries.

Southeast Fresno Accident Injures 5 People

August 20, 2011- A side-impact crash occurred in southeast Fresno at 6:05 PM Saturday night. A Sanger woman, was driving south on Temperance Avenue. She stopped at the intersection of Temperance and Belmont Avenue. After stopping she entered the intersection, when a Fresno man driving west on Belmont failed to stop and crashed the front of his car into the side of the woman’s car.

The woman suffered major injuries, and her two passengers received some minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle and his passenger also suffered some minor injuries. All were taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

The CHP has reported that neither alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.

January 17 wrongful death big rig accident in Fresno

On January 17 Dr. Robb Smith was killed in a wrongful death accident involving a big rig at Temperance and North Avenues in Fresno. Reportedly Smith was driving south on Temperance approaching the stop sign intersection at North Avenue. Meanwhile Fidel Solano was driving west on North Avenue approaching Temperance. Solano had the right of way at the intersection when Smith slammed into the side of the big rig. Smith died at the scene of the accident.

July 16 wrongful death in Fresno

On July 16 Catherine Smith and another person were killed in a wrongful death accident in Fresno. The accident happened at the intersection of Temperance and American Avenues in Fresno. According to reports Smith was a passenger in a Buick driven by a 22-year-old man when he ran a stop sign and hit a Jeep. The driver of the Jeep also died in the accident. He has not been identified yet. The driver of the Buick was hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the accident. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/

ps--as an update to this post, the victim in the Jeep is reported to be Chris Abrahamson of Milpitas.  His daughter's sources of recovery may include uninsured motorist coverage and the insurance for the at fault vehicle.  Further, the sufficiency of the stop sign at least deserves a look.--john

May 18 wrongful death accident in fresno County

On May 18 Ricardo Hernandez was killed in an accident east of Fresno. The accident occurred at the intersection of Jensen and Temperance Avenues. No further information is available at this time. www.nelsonrozier.com

New Section of HIghway 180 opened December 3

The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new section of Highway 180 between Clovis Avenue and Temperance Avenue was held this morning. This new section of Highway will reduce commuter traffic and therefore make the roadways of Fresno County a little bit safer. This project was funded through Fresno County's half cent transportation sales tax and Measure C.
