September 26 Highway 99 fatal accident in Tulare County

On September 26 Visalia resident Bella Mendoza was killed in a rollover accident on Highway 99 in Tulare County near Earlimart. According to reports Mendoza was a passenger in a vehicle headed north on Highway 99 near Earlimart when the driver, Matthew Elizondo,  lost control of the SUV and overturned into a pistachio orchard. Reports stated that a tanker had drifted into Elizondo's lane forcing him to turn onto the median. He then lost control of the vehicle and crossed back over the northbound lanes. His vehicle then overturned in the orchard. There were a total of seven people in the vehicle. The driver and two others were treated at the scene of the accident.  Three passengers were hospitalized. Mendoza died at the scene of the accident. www.nelsonrozier.com

September 26 Fresno wrongful death

On September 26 Jason Cuellar, age 9, was killed in an accident at Shepherd Avenue and Champlain Drive in northeast Fresno. According to reports the boy was in the back seat of the car when an SUV smashed into the side of the vehicle. The victim was taken to Saint Agnes Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. Four other people suffered moderate to major injuries in the accident.
