Highway 41 Vehicle Collision Caused By Intoxicated Driver in Madera County

On Sunday, January 4, 2015, an intoxicated driver was responsible for a head-on car collision in Madera County.  The vehicle accident took place on northbound Highway 41, at about 8 PM.

A driver of a blue Dodge pickup truck was driving southbound on Highway 41, when he swerved onto the north side of the highway, near Avenue 12.

The pickup truck drove head-on into a white sedan, driven by a woman from Coarsegold.  The car was sent into a guardrail after the vehicles collided.  The Dodge truck overturned.

The drivers in both vehicles were trapped inside until emergency officials were able to rescue them.  The victims suffered minor injuries and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno.

Reports say that the driver, whose truck was registered in Nevada, was driving while under the influence of alcohol.
