An Earlimart man was killed in a vehicle collision that occurred on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in Tulare County. The automobile crash took place east of Pixley, at around 11:51 AM, as a result of a downed stop sign at the intersection.
The Earlimart man, 54-56 years old, was driving in a 2001 Chevrolet, headed west on Wright Avenue. At the intersection of Wright Ave. and Elm Street, the Chevy drove through without stopping and was hit by a 2011 GMC pickup truck.
Juan Lopez, 24 years old, was traveling north on Elm Street, and had the right-of-way. Authorities learned after the incident that the stop sign that should have been posted at the east side of Wright Avenue, was missing. Which led to the Chevy driving into traffic, without stopping.
The Chevy driver died at the scene of the accident. While Lopez sustained minor injuries.
More investigation is needed in this collision. There could be a case against the county. Please let us help. Attorney John Rozier, of Visalia. Call him at 559-713-0159, or contact on the web at www.nelsonrozier.com.
