February 15 ATV accident in Merced County injures two
On February 15 two people suffered major injuries in an accident between an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and a Honda Accord in Merced County. The ATV was driven by a 17-year-old boy who was traveling south along the east bank of the Hi Line Canal. He was traveling about 15-20 mph when he entered El Capitan Way and hit a Honda Accord traveling about 55 mph. The Accord was driven by Maria Deparra. The boy was thrown from the ATV and was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with serious injuries. The Accord then travelled through two fences before hitting a tree. Deparra was taken to Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock with major injuries. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/
