A 2006 Kenworth big rig, driven by Jaswinder Singh, of Stockton, was traveling south on Road 56, when it failed to stop at the sign at Highway 201/ Avenue 400. The tractor-trailer broadsided a 2001 Ford Expedition, that was eastbound on Avenue 400.

The Expedition was then pushed into a 2008 Honda Pilot that was headed north on Road 56. The semi truck continued to push the SUV through a fence and into a power pole, where it finally stopped.
The driver of the Ford; Delfino Arroyo, of Orosi, and his passenger; Yolanda Anaya, of Hanford, both died at the scene of the crash.
The Honda's driver and passenger: David and Maria Segovia, sustained injuries and were taken to Reedley Hospital for treatment.
Jaswinder Singh was not hurt in the collision.
