The school bus was headed east on Shields Avenue, about to turn north onto Locan Avenue. At the same time a pickup truck was westbound on Shields.
The bus driver said that he did not see the truck and made the turn in front of the vehicle.The pickup crashed into the side of the bus.
Five children were on the bus at the time of the accident, but none were reported to have been injured.
