September 6, 2014- A head-on collision on Saturday, in Madera County, closes Highway 41 for more than an hour. The vehicle accident occurred in Coarsegold, at about 4:15 PM.
Sean Heath, of Oakhurst, was traveling north on Highway 41, in a 2006 Nissan Altima, north of Yosemite Springs Parkway. Heath unbuckled his seatbelt to adjust his shirt, and his Nissan crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic.
The car drove directly into the path of Michael Willis, of Madera, who was driving his Dodge Dakota pickup truck southbound. The two cars collided head-on.
Both Heath and Willis suffered injuries, and were taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno for treatment.
