Highway 99 Car & Big Rig Collision in Tulare County, Drive 60

Visalia Senior Citizen Abuse Lawyer John L. Rozier has the following collision update; On Monday, September 1, 2014, a Goshen man was killed in a car accident, on Highway 99.  The Tulare County collision occurred at approximately 12:15 PM.

David Garcia, 25 years old, was driving a Mitsubishi Eclipse north on Drive 60, which runs parallel to Highway 99, south of Avenue 328.  He was traveling at a high rate of speed, when he failed to negotiate a curve, and the Eclipse crashed through a fence onto southbound Highway 99.

The car collided with a semi truck on the freeway, that was driven by Lyndon Johnson, of Moreno Valley.  The international tractor-trailer attempted to avoid the Mitsubishi and turned the rig to the left and hit a Chevy Tahoe, driven by Yuan Wang, of Rosemead.

The Chevrolet SUV spun out of control and traveled through the perimeter fence and flipped over onto Drive 60.

Diesel fuel and oil spilled onto both lanes of the southbound highway, and caused traffic to back up for miles until the wreckage could be cleared.

Garcua sustained serious injuries and was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

No reports on whether the other victims in the crash were injured.

While our condolences go out to the friends and family of the victim, we recognize that no monetary sum can ease the pain and loss felt after a tragedy such as this. However, just monetary compensation can help ease the burden of medical bills, final expenses, and help support any dependents left behind by the deceased.
