California Vehicle Accident Attorney John L. Rozier has the following report; On Thursday, February 19, 2015, a bike rider was killed in Fresno. The car and bicycle collision took place at around 6 PM, on Friant Road.
A 2011 Mercedes, driven by a 16 year old, was headed south on Friant Road, at about 60-70 mph.
A 52 year old bicyclist, Nick Bukilica, was riding his bike northbound on Friant. Bukilica attempted to make a left turn onto Old Friant Road, when the Mercedes ran into him.
The police said that the teenager did not see Bukilica, until he was struck on the right side of the bike. At the time of the accident, it is reported that the streets were not well lit.
The bicyclist died at the scene of the collision.
