A Fresno woman was driving her car east on Highway 180, near Kerman. A truck towing a trailer was stopped to turn north onto Howard Avenue. The driver of the auto did not see the trailer and the vehicle smashed into the back of it.
The CHP said that the trailer did not have any working brake lights or turn signals, so it was difficult to see.
The female driver died at the scene of the accident. The pickup truck driver was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The police report may take several
weeks to prepare—in the meantime we can probably obtain a cover sheet of the
