Central California Accident Attorney John Rozier has the subsequent collision report; On Monday, November 17, 2014, an automobile accident in Tulare County ended fatally. The big rig crash happened north of Visalia, at about 7:10 PM.
Olivia Thomason or Thompson, of Porterville, was driving a 2003 Toyota 4Runner east on Avenue 368. At the intersection of Ave 368 and Road 80 the traffic light was green for her to continue to drive.
At the same time a Kenworth tractor-trailer, driven by Navor Hernandez, of Bakersfield, was southbound on Road 80. The semi truck was reported to have been traveling at 55 mph when it failed to stop at the red light. The big rig smashed into the left side of the Toyota.
The impact sent the SUV across the intersection and into a 2003 Chevy Blazer, driven by William Celaya, of Dinuba.
Thomason was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. Hernandez sustained moderate injuries, and Celaya was not hurt.
Hernandez was not arrested at the scene of the incident, but could face charges of vehicular manslaughter.
Issues
still remaining to be investigated; determining whether road conditions may
have contributed to this accident, and any malfunctions of the vehicle.
