Collision Attorney John L. Rozier has the following report; On Monday, July 27, 2015, a semi truck collided with an SUV. The fatal vehicle accident happened on Highway 65, in Tulare County, at about 5:30 PM.
A Porterville man, 28, was driving a 2000 Dodge Durango, headed south on Highway 65. As the Dodge was traveling, just southeast of Tulare, near State Route 137, the driver attempted to make a U-turn.
At the time the Sport Utility Vehicle pulled right to turn, a 2010 Kenworth big rig was southbound on the highway. The truck driver was not able to stop in time, and smashed into the SUV.
The driver of the Dodge, and the front passenger, 70, died in the collision. Another occupant in the SUV, who was 23 years old, suffered serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, in Visalia.
