July 22, 2014- A motorcycle crash leaves one fatally wounded, in Hanford. The Kings County accident occurred on Tuesday, at approximately 5:15 AM.
Jaime Vargas, 50 years old, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet on Grangeville Boulevard traveling east toward 16th Avenue. A 49 year old man was riding his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on Grangeville Blvd, approaching the same intersection as the Chevy.
The California Highway Patrol reported that Vargas started to slow down to make a left-hand turn onto 16th Avenue. As the Chevy turned, it drove directly into the path of the Harley.
The motorcyclist tried to stop before colliding with the other vehicle, but he was too late. The bike crashed into the right side of the car.
The biker suffered serious injuries in the collision and was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his wounds.
