Fatality on Highway 58 in Kern County, near Keene, Caused by SUV Crash

May 11, 2015- A fatal crash in Kern County stopped traffic on Highway 58, on Monday.  The vehicle accident took place near Keene, California, at around 2:00 PM.

The SUV collision which happened about 30 miles east of Bakersfield, led to westbound Highway 58 being blocked off.

The incident occurred between a blue Jeep Cherokee, and a Toyota Sport Utility Vehicle, near Bealville Road.

The CHP reported that one person was killed in the accident.
