May 27, 2015- A head-on crash left three hurt in Kern County, on Wednesday. The vehicle collision occurred northeast of Bakersfield, on Highway 178, at about 4:17 PM.
The car accident which happened in the Kern River Canyon area, took place when Brian Duke was driving west on the highway. The vehicle left the westbound lane and veered into oncoming traffic. The automobile crashed head-on into a pickup truck that was eastbound.
Duke, and two occupants in the pickup; William Diaz, 69, and Linda Diaz, 72, all suffered serious injuries. They were taken to Kern Medical Center, in Bakersfield for treatment.
