December 21 Highway 99 accident seriously injures one

On December 21 a teenage girl was seriously injured when the vehicle she was riding in crashed on southbound Highway 99 near R Street. Reportedly the highway was wet because of rain and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Honda overturned down an embankment after spinning onto the shoulder.  Maricza Cruz was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. Cruz was pinned in the vehicle until emergency crews removed her. Then she was taken to a Modesto hospital. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/
