November 29 Fresno accident on Chestnut Avenue kills three
On November 29 three teenagers were killed in an accident in Fresno on Chestnut Avenue. Jose Barriga, Monique Sandhu, and Francisco Gonzalez were all killed when the car Barriga was driving crashed into a lightpole at Lane Avenue. Barriga was speeding north on Chestnut Avenue when the crash happened. The impact of the accident split the car in two. The three victims mentioned above were all pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Another passenger was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with critical injuries. The only passenger wearing a seatbelt was treated for moderate injuries. Barriga was driving with a suspended license and police are currently conducting a toxicology test to see if alcohol was a factor. While monetary compensation cannot bring back the deceased or take away physical pain and auffering, it can help ease the burden of hospital bills and funeral expenses.
