On May 15 three vehicles were involved in an accident on Highway 99 near Staniford Avenue in Modesto. The accident happened in the southbound lanes of the highway. One vehicle ended up on the embankment of the highway and had to be secured in order for firefighters to free a woman who was trapped inside. Another vehicle caught fire as a result of the accident. At least one person suffered minor injuries from this accident. The exact cause of the accident and other details are unknown at this time.
