October 28 fatal ATV accident on Highway 108 near Riverbank
On October 28 a man was killed when the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) he was driving was struck by a Lexus. The man was driving along highway 108 near Riverbank and Coffee Road when the Lexus hit him. He was ejected from the ATV and was not wearing a helmet. At the time of the accident the ATV was partially on the highway and was almost at a complete stop. The driver of the Lexus, a 17-year old Modesto resident, was driving 55 mph, and she stopped the vehicle after the impact. She was wearing a seat belt and was not hurt.
