October 30, Orosi pedestrian accident on Highway 63
On October 30 an 83-year-old Orosi man was hit by a pickup truck and killed. Marcos De La Torre was crossing Highway 63 when he was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Silverado took evasive action to avoid hitting De La Torre but failed. De La Torre was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and poor lighting was most likely a factor in this accident.
