March 31 pedestrian accident near police station in Merced
On March 31 a five-year-old girl was hit by a car outside the police station in Merced. The girl had exited her father's vehicle and ran around the front. Meanwhile a Toyota Prius had just turned onto the street and the girl ran in front of the vehicle. The girl was air lifted to a hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/

December 6 Bakersfield accident at 22nd Street and C Street
On December 6 a man ran a stop sign at C street and 22nd Street in Bakersfield and hit Jeff Ross's Lexus. The Lexus and the rental car the man was driving were both totaled as a result of the accident. The man then took off on foot then was later chased by neighbors and apprehended by officers. According to witnesses, the man hit his head on the windshield and as a result had a very bloody face. According to locals, the intersection of C Street and 22nd Street is often a problematic intersection as people use the residential streets as a short cut too access Highway 178. Ross was not seriously hurt as a rusult of the accident. http://www.nelsonrozier.com/
