Fresno Automobile Collision on Jensen Avenue Ends in Fatality

Visalia Elderly Maltreatment Attorney John Rozier has the following accident report; On Wednesday, July 27, 2014, a 61 year old woman was killed in a car collision.  The accident happened west of Fresno, early in the morning, sometime before 6 AM.

Ying Thao, of Fresno, was driving a 2004 Honda, when it collided with a 2002 Chrysler that was driven by Alejandro DeSantiago, of Selma.  The crash occurred on Jensen Avenue, near Brawley Avenue.

Thao was reported to not have been wearing her seat belt, and she was thrown from her Honda.  She was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, in Fresno, where she later died from her injuries.

Fatal Auto Accident in Fresno on Jensen & Brawley Avenues

July 30, 2014- A Fresno automobile collision ends in a fatality.  The car accident happened early Wednesday morning, in southwest Fresno.

The crash took place on Jensen Avenue and Brawley Avenue, between two vehicles.  A woman was ejected from her car.  It is reported that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.

The driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where she later died.

There were two passengers in the van that were injured, but both are expected to be alright.

One Man Dead in Highway 180 Accident Fresno

March 24, 2014- A car accident in Fresno County, ends in a fatality, on Highway 180, Monday night.  The collision occurred at the intersection of Hwy 180 and Brawley Avenue.

The driver of white Ford F150 pickup truck was stopped at a traffic signal, headed east on Highway 180, waiting to make a left-hand turn onto Brawley Ave.

When the light turned green and the Ford started to turn, a white van, driven by Joseph Ferguson, 39 years old, ran the stop light.  The van smashed into the truck's bed, and ended up on its side and pushed into the traffic light pole.

Ferguson was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.  No one in the pickup was hurt.

Update: Collision With Police Car in Fresno Ends Fatally

October 3, 2011- An update on the man who was killed in a crash with a police cruiser early Monday morning.

The driver of the Mazda has been identified as Matthew White of Fresno.

The accident occurred on Brawley Avenue as the police officer was responding to a call. As he was driving down Brawley Ave., White made a left U-turn right in front of the patrol car. The officer slammed into the middle of the passenger side.


White died from the impact of the collision.

It is believed that an air bag prevented the officer from being seriously injured.

No information about the name of the officer. He joined the police force, in Fresno, in 2006.

Head-on Collision Ends Fatally in Fresno

October 2, 2011- A head-on collision in central Fresno ends with one person dead and another in critical condition.

The accident occurred at 4:30 PM, when the driver of a car going south on Brawley Avenue veered into the northbound lane. That car crashed head-on with an oncoming car, near Weber Avenue.


The crash killed the northbound driver, and injured his female passenger. The southbound driver was taken to Community Regional Medical center, with major injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Collision With Police Car in Fresno Ends Fatally

October 3, 2011- A man died early Monday morning, when he collided with a police car in Fresno. The crash occurred at 2:51 AM.

The officer driving the police car was driving on Brawley Avenue, to the scene of a burglary in northwest Fresno.

The driver of a white 1987 Mazda 626 was making a U-turn into the path of the patrol car on Brawley, north of San Jose Avenue. The cruiser struck the Mazda broadside between the tires on the passenger side.


It is reported that the police vehicle was going between 40-50 mph. The cruiser hit with such force that it killed the driver of the Mazda.

The officer received minor injuries and was taken to Saint Agnes Medical Center.

Early reports indicate that the officer had the right of way.

Truck Collides With Motorcycle in Fresno

September 16, 2011- A crash involving a motorcycle and a truck occurred Friday night, in Northwest Fresno.

The accident happened at the intersection of Herndon Avenue and Brawley Avenue, when the pickup truck and motorcycle collided. The truck dragged the motorcycle several dozen feet.


The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as a 30-year-old man. He was taken to the hospital, but his condition is unknown. No news on whether the other driver was injured.

Police are investigating this crash further. They are not sure yet who was at fault.

March 31 Highway 180 accident in Fresno

On March 31 Antonio Garza was seriously injured in an accident on Highway 180 at Brawley Avenue. Reportedly Garza failed to stop for a red light and hit a power pole. He was not wearing a seat belt and was partially thrown from the vehicle. The vehicle caught fire as a result of the accident and a witness pulled Garza from the car. February 8 accident on Highway 180 and Brawley Avenue in Fresno

On February 8 two cars were involved in a rollover crash at Highway 180 and Brawley Avenue in Fresno. The accident between a Toyota Prius and a Nissan Sentra occurred around 1:30 pm. December 2 Fresno accident

Early on the morning if December 2 two people were hospitalized when a car and school bus collided at Brawley Avenue and Shaw Avenue in Fresno. The two people in the car were taken to the hospital. There were no students on the bus, and the bus driver was not treated for injuries. The people in the car were pinned inside and had to be rescued by firefighters who cut off the door.
