April 16, 2010--Last Friday's accident in Porterville between a bicycle and a truck caused major injuries to a 7 year old who was flown to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. The incident occurred on Indiana Street south of Montgomery. The driver of the pick-up was David Herreld, age 49, of Springville.
Further issues to explore include the speed of the vehicle, whether Mr. Herreld was on the job at the time of the accident, and whether the minor child's family also carried uninsured motorist coverage for their family vehicles which may provide an additional source of recovery.
