Porterville Accident Involving U.S. Postal Truck Ends in Fatality

On Friday, April 3, 2015, a postal truck collision fatally wounded an 18-month-old child, in Porterville.  The Tulare County vehicle accident took place at approximately 1:30 PM, in the Delta Street area of the city.

A United States Mail truck was traveling on Delta St. and Aurora Avenue, dropping of mail.  The truck struck a toddler boy and seriously injured him.  The Porterville Police have reported that the truck was not driving at a high rate of speed when the accident happened.

The little boy was rushed to the hospital by an emergency vehicle.  He was pronounced dead a short time later in the medical center.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Please call us this afternoon to preserve evidence of this accident.  Claimants for this collision include parents, siblings, etc.  Caretakers such as grandparents may also have a right to be considered.  A Federal Tort Claim needs to be filed against the U.S. government as soon as possible, to avoid them claiming that the fault does not lie with them.  Contact the law firm of Nelson and Rozier at 559-713-0159 or online at www.nelsonrozier.com.
