Power Outage for Southeast Fresno, Caused by Automobile Crash

May 21, 2015- An automobile collision causes blackout for over 400 homes in southeast Fresno.  The car accident occurred on Thursday, at around 3:30 AM.

The police have reported that a vehicle smashed into a power pole on Fresno Street, at Webster Street.  The crash knocked the pole and power lines down to the middle of roadway.

Power was lost to the area along Fresno Street, from Clay to Olive Avenues.

No information is available on whether anyone was hurt in the incident.

Kern County Auto Accident Leaves Many Without Power in Ridgecrest

July 17, 2014- An automobile accident in Ridgecrest leaves power outage for many in town.  The car collision happened in Kern County, Thursday night.

The crash occurred at Bowman Road and Gateway Avenue.  A silver vehicle was headed down the road, lost control, and smashed into a power pole.  The accident caused a major power outage in the southeastern corner of Ridgecrest, and in the Ridgecrest Heights area.

The car's driver suffered minor injuries, and was taken to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital.

Van Collision in Hanford Leads to Power Outage

April 1, 2014- A service van accident causes a blackout in Kings County, near downtown Hanford.  The accident occurred on Tuesday, at about 2 PM.

A Kennie's Heating & Air Conditioning van smashed into a power pole along 11th Avenue and Mulberry Street.  The collision caused an hour long power outage for parts of the Hanford area.

The driver of the van was taken by ambulance to the local hospital.  He received minor injuries.

No reports as to the cause of the crash.

Car Crash in Oildale takes Down Power Pole

March 14, 2014- A car accident happened on Friday afternoon in Oildale, near Bakersfield, California.

The two car collision occurred on East Roberts Lane and Hart Street, involving a white SUV and one other vehicle.  The crash caused the power lines near the intersection to be knocked down.

There is no information at this time on whether there were injuries, or what was the cause of the crash.

Fresno Car Accident Knocks Out Power Pole on Blackstone Avenue

March 5, 2014- A car crash leaves some people in Fresno, California without power, in the River Park area.  The accident happened Wednesday morning at about 1:00 AM.

A white automobile that was driving down Blackstone Avenue smashed into a power pole and also took out a fire hydrant, at Blackstone and Minarets Avenue.

300 people are reported to have lost power because of the accident, until PG&E were able to fix the transformer that was almost knocked completely off the pole.

No information as to the cause of the collision, or whether anyone was injured in the crash.
