Highway 41 Crash near Easton

December 8, 2011- A fiery crash occurred Thursday, on Highway 41 near Easton, just miles from Fresno. The accident happened at about 7:30 AM.

An SUV was northbound on Highway 41. While a Ford pickup truck was westbound on South Avenue.  The truck did not stop at the posted sign that was at the intersection. It slammed into the SUV.

The impact of the collision caused the truck to burst into flames. Both drivers had to be pulled from their vehicles.

The truck's driver received moderate to major injuries and was taken to the hospital. The SUV's driver suffered minor injuries.

Fatality in Crash near Easton

November 7, 2011- A deadly crash happened near Easton, south of Fresno, on Monday just before 11:30 AM.

The accident happened at Chestnut and Jefferson avenues. Officers report that Martin Diaz, 19, was speeding on Chestnut Avenue, when he slammed into the back of a stopped car that was in front of him.

Another 19 year-old passenger in Diaz’s car was killed. Diaz and a third occupant in the vehicle were taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. Diaz was later arrested on vehicular manslaughter charges.

The driver of the stopped car was not hurt in the collision.

March 9th pedestrian accident in Easton-Wayne Hitchcock

March 9 wrongful death pedestrian accident near Easton in Fresno County
