Traffic Accident on McAuliff Street, One Killed, in Visalia

Fatal Car Crash on St. John's River Bridge in Visalia

April 14, 2015- A rear-end automobile accident took place in Visalia, on Tuesday.  The fatal car crash happened at the St. John's River bridge, on McAuliff Street, at around 3:30 AM.

Jose De Jesus Sanchez, 65, was driving a black 1999 Hyundai Accent, at a slower rate of speed, traveling south on McAuliff St., across the bridge.  At the same time a Honda Accord, driven by 22 year old Michael Coffman, was driving southbound on the bridge at a faster speed.

The Honda crashed into the back of the Hyundai, and pushed both vehicles south across the bridge.  The autos came to rest in front of Golden West High School.

Sanchez suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

Coffman and a passenger in the Honda sustained minor injuries.  Both did not want medical treatment.

Tulare County Automobile Collision on McAuliff Street, in Visalia

On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in Visalia, a vehicle collision ended in the death of a victim who has been identified as Jose De Jesus Sanchez.  The accident occurred on McAuliff Street, at approximately 3:30 AM.

Fatal Rear-end Car Collision in Visalia, on St. John's River Bridge

On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, a fatal automobile collision happened on McAuliff Street, in Visalia.  The read-end car accident happened at the St. John's River bridge, near Golden West High School, at 3:30 in the morning.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, an automobile collision fatally injured a 65 year old man, in Visalia.  The vehicle accident took place on the St. John's River bridge, on McAuliff Street, at 3:30 AM.

Fatal Car Collision on McAuliff Street in Visalia

April 14, 2015- A read-end car accident ended in fatality in Visalia, on Tuesday morning.  The Tulare County automobile collision happened on McAuliff Street, near St. Johns Parkway.

A 65 year old driver of a Hyundai was traveling on the bridge on McAuliff St., north of Golden West High School.  A Honda Accord, driven by Michael Coffman, 22, read-ended the Hyundai sedan.

The Hyundai driver died as a result of the crash.  Coffman and his passenger sustained minor injuries.

Pedestrian Collision in Southeast Visalia on Noble Avenue and McAulliff Street

Anna Rios, 83 years old, was walking in the area of Noble Avenue and McAuliff Street, when she was hit a GMC Sierra pickup truck, driven by Ana Oseguera.  The truck was traveling east on Noble Ave., towards McAuliff St.

Rios suffered serious head injuries, and was taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where she later died.

McAuliff accident in Visalia kills recycling gentleman

May 27, 2011--Last Friday morning's fatal accident in Visalia involved a three-wheeled bicycle and a Chevy Silverado.  The deceased was on his regular recycling route collecting cans and bottles.  The driver of the pick-up was identified as Joseph Fischer of Visalia.  He reportedly told the investigating officers that he did not see the cycist.

The location was just north of Golden West High in Visalia on McAuliff Road.

This case sounds very similar to another case handled by our offices about 10 years ago involving a Hmong gentleman pushing a shopping cart full of recycled cans up an onramp on Highway 198--he also was on his regular route.  In that case we were able to establish a wage claim by contacting the recycling depo he frequented to obtain a wage history.  His family received a sizable settlement although he was walking in an unsafe area.  He also was not seen by the motorist.

March 29 Visalia accident at McAuliff and College Avenues

On March 29 a woman suffered major injuries when her vehicle hit a stationary SUV on McAuliff Avenue near College Avenue in Visalia. According to reports the woman hit the SUV while it was waiting to turn left on McAuliff. The impact of the accident pushed the SUV about 40 yards. The driver and two passengers in the SUV escaped the accident uninjured. The driver of the Hyundai was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia to be treated for her injuries.

May 12, 2010--After the lunch break yesterday students from Visalia's Golden West High School travelling in a silver Dodge Stratus collided with a pik-up truck at the intersection of McAuliff and Mill Creek.  3 were injured including a female victim who was airlifted in critical condition.

May 12 Visalia accident at McAuliff and Mill Creek Parkway injures three

On May 12 two vehicles were involved in an accident at McAuliff Street and Mill Creek Parkway in Visalia that resulted in three injuries. Reportedly a Dodge Stratus was attempting to turn left onto southbound McAuliff from Mill Creek when a Ford F-250 pickup that was traveling southbound on McAuliff hit the Stratus. Three people were pinned in the Stratus and had to be rescued by fire fighters. All three people were seriously injured with one being listed in critical status. Victims of November 27 Highway 198 accident in Visalia identified

On November 27 an accident on HIghway 198 at McAuliff took the life of Jorge Perez and placed Valentina Gonzalez in the hospital with major injuries. Perez was driving a Chevrolet westbound on Nobel Avenue, a frontage road of Highway 198, when his car veered and hit a tree near McAuliff Avenue. Officers are investigating this as a possible attempted murder/suicide. November 27 accident on Highway 198 in Visalia kills one and injures another

On November 27 a Visalia man was killed when the vehicle he was driving crashed into a tree on Highway 198 near McAuliff Street. The man was driving a Chevrolet when the vehicle veered to the left, hit a tree and flipped. The man was not wearing a seat belt and suffered fatal injuries. The passenger in the vehicle suffered major injuries and was air lifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
